Ah yeh, pretty self explanatory.
Lately I noticed my knees have been clicking a lot when I bend down. Something that absolutely was not in effect until I started training heavy legs again a few months ago.
You can ah, imagine my suprise when I turn 25 and like a day later notice my knees are making weird noises.
Anyway, what can anybody tell me about this? supplementation to augment cartilege, training strategy. Do you guys get it much??

everybody is different but we all thru training (weightlifting/running/sports/ect) tear down our knee joints and depending on your genes you could have knee problems regardless of lifting. some basic info.
1. always warm up before any lifting that involves the knee.
2. find a good condroiten(sp) and glcosomine (sP) supp along with M.S.M.
3. try a little heat rub on before a big leg day.
4. get used to it for it will never get any better.
5.try to find exercise that stress the muscle but are joint safe (diff forms of presses vs squats with free weights ect)
6. when it gets bad try a iduprofan(sp) containing product to reduce swelling and pain relief.
good luck

Rock-
I have had 2 knee surgeries on both knees ( tore completely MCL,ACL,LLC and meniscus in both)
the click is probally the tendons popping around the bone (take a rubber band, stretch it then pop it with your finger. the tendon act in the same manner like it gets hung up on something) Or it could be that the cartilage is roughing up from long years of lifting..
Always said stretch and that is correct before and after...
I started taking BROMELAINE and that shit works!!! made from pineapple stems its also a meat tenderizer, it does however take about 2-3 weeks to build up in your system but after that...
now I have no problem squatting or running...
Hope this helps...

It's probably harmless. My knees have been doing that for years.

Absolute gospel. Look, getting older and training means noisy knees. That is ok. Mine sometimes sound like a bag of rocks. Knees that are painful while in use, however, are probably not so good.

I am only 18 and my knees do that, I can actually hear them kinda click when I do squats. Kinda has me worried, but theres no pain. I don't think I have ever hurt my knees that bad, I fell on both knee caps when I was like 12 and it hurt so so so bad for like a few days but I think thats all. Could that have caused it?
