$40 million over a few years before the cops figured it out. Pathetic!
Biggest theft from JFK since the Lufthansa heist shown in the movie Goodfellas.

How? I know items turn up missing but there are so many scan points you would really have to have a plan to get away with stealing things for a long period of time.
I’m sure it’s easier with the post office because they don’t have to scan as often, but once an item is assigned to your route they know the last contact point. Also the post office doesn’t care when items turn up missing, they’re not like FedEx/UPS in that they’re a profit generating business.

When I was a kid the mail service ripped open a card my uncle sent me with $20 in it...they delivered it tore wide open with the money missing. No shame

I kicked out a guy (mailman) who hadnt paid his rent on my wifes apartment he was staying in
I found bags full of opened Christmas cards in mail bags
Twat had been stealing all the money out of them.
He ended up homeless and jobless on the same day

its so easy to just make things "disappear" shit gets loaded in the wrong bin and sent out 1000 times a day , every one is just honest and resorts it , there is always a ton of left overs before preloading thats not even supposed to be there , its a mess, Fedex touts its self as premiere company and they charge more than other company's but really its a mess
