MMA guys seem to do a lot of circuits with weights. I know Randy Couture mostly did a (sort of) full body routine circuit with a barbell when preparing for fights. Probably because he was a wrestler and that's what wreslters did or do (not sure about now).

Wrestlers train harder than almost any other athlete which helps them when they transition to MMA.
