-Just wondering Coach, when do you suppose Trump will bring the price of gas down. Soon, I hope. In 2022 regular gas was at its highest in Southern CA, slightly over $5.00. Today it has dropped some, but not by much since it is slightly under $4.50. I assume you probably know since the price of gas is something you used to be very passionate about, posting prices of gas as you traveled around L.A. Note, prices vary from station to station and between one area and another.

I am sure the price of gas in CA affects you greatly. ::) Have you checked the taxes your buddy Newscum put on gas lately?

I paid 3.97 yesterday with the absurd California gas taxes. Imagine how much lower it would without it. Sorry prime, just about everything is down. And if you look at the national average it’s down almost across the board. We’re not in a manufactured economy anymore.
Now tell me how this was relevant to my original post

I am happy for you, Coach, that you found cheap gas. In 2017 California raised the gas tax by 12 cents per gallon. California's gas tax automatically adjusts each July 1st based on inflation. In July 2025 gas taxes increased by 1.6 cents per gallon. I am Not sure how gas taxes are relevant in this situation.
Gas at a local Chevron station I go to is $4.29 a gallon. Oregon tends to have higher gas prices than the rest of the country which is weird since the gas tax is here is 40 cents a gallon total and in California, which has the highest gas tax in the U.S. is 90 cents a gallon total.
Are you being serious when you say just about everything is down. If this is so, I should move to California because this is not the case here in Oregon. But your everything may be different than mine because I spend very little money besides food, utilities, home maintenance, and dining out.
The CPI rose 2.7 percent for the 12 months ending in June 2025.
o Food prices rose 3.0 percent in June 2025 compared to June 2024.
o Core inflation rose 2.9 percent over the 12 months ending in June 2025.
I bought a box of Gevalia K-cup coffee from Amazon in January 2025 and paid $31.90. Since then, the price has gone up almost every 6 weeks when I buy another box. A box delivered last Thursday cost $53.47.
Eggs have gone down in price since January 2025, but the reason they were so high then was due to bird flu which began in 2023 and not inflation.
Housing prices continue to climb and are higher today than in January 2025. But increases have slowed down.
Mortgage interest rates were a 7% last January and are down to 6.67% this month.
Airfare continues to increase at a rate of approximately 3%
All in all, you should know the cost of more things than I do because you probably spend more money than me.

Hey dippy. Remember that time you spewed your BS by telling me what the price of gas was right around the corner me and jumped in my truck in real time, took a picture of the actual within like 10 min and once again, proved you and your “source” wrong?
-
Btw, as of RIGHT NOW Dems didn’t show up and are AWOL.

So, I assume you never use Google. What then are your sources of information? Do you ever post links to your sources? Or do you only post your opinions which of course cannot be verified or challenged.

What does this have to do with Texas Democrats bailing on their constituents?

Yeah, talk about deflection.

What does this have to do with Texas Democrats bailing on their constituents?
Obviously, it has nothing to do with Texas Democrats bailing on their constituents.

If I remember correctly, it was a Chevron Station. Chevron gas stations are often more expensive then others, such as Astro and Costco. As for it being right around the corner from you, I will have to take your word for this because I have no way of disproving this.

That Chevron was the closest to my home. Why are you trying to argue with someone who literally lives in the city you’re trying to argue. Fuck

Who wants to tell him Google is a relic for the most part. I've NEVER relied on Google for almost anything political.

Hey, Coach Grouchy,
Not trying to do anything including arguing with you about the city you live in or where you buy gas. I made a statement.
I also mostly buy gas at Chevron because there are three Chevron stations all within about 1 1/2 miles from my house and are literally in the city I live in . This is why I know Chevron gas is usually more expensive than, for example, COSTCO which is the other place I buy gas. But COSTCO is 6 miles away and not in West Linn (the city I live in).
Gas prices ($3.89) at the Chevron station close to your house are lower than gas prices at the Chevron station closest to me, which is $4.29 today (no expletive needed ;).
