All while the offense plays like ass.

Sign 7 pitchers, have them all injured for most of the year, then unleash them in the playoffs all with only 100 IP on their arm.

Yeah, but seems like they’ve pulled together. 8-1 in the post season so far and this kid, Yamamoto has been nails. Finally a good closer

Yes, pitching is everything in the playoffs.

Meanwhile Seattle sucks balls! 2-0 lead and then drop 2 games and potentially losing the series now

Dodgers pitching will shut down the blue jays if both teams make it to the WS

Sasaki doesn't have the mentality for this role.

Too frail.

Cried like a bitch in the dugout after his first outing this year because it didn't go well.

Also, chose LA when he could have gone anywhere else because he's afraid to be the man and wanted the easy route.

But, yeah, I'm not bitter.  ;D

His place in history will in part be determined by what his longevity turns out to be.  That said, I submit that his peak is the best ever.

It’s up at the top, but Barry Bonds had an incredible peak. SO is in the most perfect spot a player of his talent could be in. The other thing I have trouble grasping is how the angels screwed up their franchise.

In terms of peak, I'd have Bonds close but 2nd.  Only because Ohtani pitches damn well too.  Overall, I think Bonds is the best player I've ever seen.  He had more in the tank.  Had he not been colluded against he would have easily gotten 800 home runs.

Bonds put up number Ohtani couldn't dream about.  And I say that thinking Ohtani is awesome.

However, tonight's game was just an all out spectacular performance.

K'ing the side then leading off with an HR?

C'mon.

I imagine if the dodgers win the WS, and he somehow gets the WS MVP too, he would have reg season MVP, NLCS MVP, and WS MVP, has that ever been done before? That would cap off one of the best seasons ever

I saw Ohtani play against the rangers a few yrs back when he was still with the angels, had front row seats, saw him hit a HR that broke the tie and won the game, good memories haha

In person he’s a big dude , wide clavicles/shoulders , at least 6’4

Agree with number 1 and your sentiment on the players and their athleticism.  Golf?  I hope you mean playing and not watching.  College football kind of sucks.  The NFL is much better.

MLB
NFL
NBA
NCAA Basketball
NCAA Football

We sold our little place In 2012. It was on a golf course in front of a lake with a beautiful view of of the San Jacinto Mountains. Wife and I have actually been thinking about buying again except in maybe Laquinta or Rancho Mirage. Use to play PGA West all the time.

Sometimes a terrible inning like that is better than losing a heart breaker.  I still think Dodgers take this in 6.  But Toronto made a statement tonight.

Anything can happen in baseball.

Cy Young  Snell has been unhittable in the post season, 0.86 ERA over 21 innings. The Jays countered with a 22 year old kid  Yesavage out of East Carolina (No. 20 pick in the 2024 MLB Draft who is getting paid 760K this year). A kid who started the year at single A Dunedin. It was a long shot game, a game they weren't supposed to win.

Hope I'm wrong but the Dodgers have a slim chance tonight. All of the momentum is with Toronto even with Springer out. Now was not the time for a team batting slump and I have no confidence in most of their starters (Snell) and even less confidence in their mid's...they'll get hammered.

I thought you had a TIA/mini stroke?

Happened on a weekend during the summer. Went for a 10 mile bike ride, it was about 90 degrees. Came home, didn't feel right. Went in the house looked in the mirror  and one side of my faced dropped, couldn't pronounce the "S" sound, it was a little slurred. No one was home so I went in and fell asleep. Woke up a few hours later and my speech was clearing up and feeling came back to my face. Wife came home and said we're going to the hospital, I refused. Called my doctor and after he yelled at me for not going to the hospital, I was in to see him the next morning at 7am. By then everything was back to normal. He could't find any lingering symptoms, said it was more than likely a mild TIA. Have had no problems since. However, In some of my videos you can see where one side of mouth droops a little. Took no tests to confirm or deny. It's been about 8 years or so.

Off the top of my head, this is one of the 3 best world series capped with an amazing game 7 that I can think of.  91 Twins and Braves with Jack Morris' 10 inning complete game win.  The Cubs and Indians, I forget the year.  Pre-covid for sure.  And this year.  This was either 1st or 2nd in my view.

That’s some high leverage situations, doesn’t get any more nerve racking than that. Insane! He’s already worth more than the dodgers paid him for in return on investment

In general, baseball is boring. You're picking the most exciting game, game 7 of the World Series to prove your point. Good job, dingus.

Most championship games are exciting. I know people who dislike hockey but find the Stanley Cup to be exciting. I know people who dislike football, who find the Superbowl to be very exciting. Naturally, the championship of most games are going to be exciting and up the ante. Great, you took an extreme outlier to prove your point.

In general, other than the World Series, baseball is extremely boring to watch.

I think it was a good post season overall.

There were some great games for sure.

Game 7 was great.

But I'm sure Toronto fans will hold on to this one for a long time (I'm still not over 2001).

But it shows, even though LA signed everyone, committed to billions, it took everything to win.  As a team, they hit like complete shit, and were lucky to win.
