Because they are shit after about 80k miles. Mine starting falling apart at that point and resale was hardly anthing.

I know someone with a four year old model S. She wanted to trade it in for a new model Y and Tesla only offered her 18K.
Dealerships have stopped holding inventory on electric vehicles. Ford and GM are both stopping production of their electric pickups. GM has shut down production for the Brightdrop electric van.
