Drugs? Great actor.

It doesn't say but he was into drugs yes.
The rumour from films was heroin. Directors liked him because obviously he was talented but they wanted him in and out of their film sets as quickly as possible.

The comments are amusing.
Two of my old friends met him at a bar 20 years ago. He patiently answered their questions about his career and seemed nice enough. One of my friends went to the restroom and the other went to put money in the jukebox. When they came back, Peter was gone - along with their coats! They found it amusing but also a little sad that a guy who'd been in some major films only 5 years earlier was reduced to stealing jackets from people at dive bars.
Sounds like something a bodybuilder would do, lol.
Anyway, may he rest in peace.

Sucks, he was kinda local to me. Sometimes you'd see him buying coke up in Harlem or on the lower east side late 90s, early 2000s. Sort of a legitimate tough guy, had no problem squaring up to people that pressed him, but he wasn't an asshole about it.
While not for everyone, he played a good schizophrenic in an indie called "Clean, Shaven". It's sort of a mystery film, memorable for the hallucinations of transmitters, etc.... -

It’s like their inner demons for real played out in film

Almost forgotten classic. I miss those 90s movies with that shady atmosphere and look to it

One thing you can't really tell from the films is he was a big guy, like 6'3" with wide shoulders. It was surprising.

He had an odd look about him, kind of like Katie Holmes. If you described the individual features they sound like an attractive person, but something about them is just “off” looking when you see them. PIP

It would have been very embarrassing for him if they decided to call the police. He would have been a great companion for Wynona Ryder.
