Most in the US don't know but their cooking can be smelled where ever they are. At least that's what I assume is what smells; the food smells stick to them and it's not pleasant. When I open my door I get a nice whiff every time.

I didn’t know that as none live in my neighborhoods.
We’ve all pretty much experienced this phenomenon with Indians in USA though.
Indian food has been pretty hit or miss when I’ve tried.

I like some Indian food. Somali food I never tried but if it was any good it would be known by now with restaurants everywhere like there are Indian restaurants. It's a very distinct obnoxious smell, at least to us westerners. Some of those Indian Naan breads are like candy :D
