Title: How much snow did you get?
Post by: LurkerNoMore on February 24, 2026, 06:49:11 AM
For those who got hit.

How are you coping being unable to leave the house and trapped with your skinny bang bag, her three cats, and terrible false teeth?  At least it's a good time to shovel all the comfort food you want in your mouth.

(Hope those up north are ok.)

We got a ton here on the East Coast. Snow was up to my knee caps.

I shoveled 3 times on Monday: 3:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 4:30 PM. Took me 2 hours each time.

Then yesterday I shoveled from 4:30 AM-9:00 AM.

I usually walk to the gym on blizzard days in the morning around 1:00 AM. The streets are empty and the plows are out everywhere. None of the roads were plowed too well at this time so I usually walk down the double yellow line.

The key to staying warm is to dress in layers. I recommend a company called RefrigWear for warm coats and clothes.

Snow shoveling you need to go at a controlled pace and take pause breaks often to prevent your blood pressure from getting too high.

That`s insane.......you don`t need to train for at least a week after all that work.

Oddly enough,we usually get buried but we only have around 6 inches or so and that was a few days ago.....but it has been colder than Hell.......and I`m talking frigid cold.
