The inaugural Enhanced Games will feature dozens of elite athletes using performance-enhancing drugs to try and break world records in track, weightlifting and swimming.
Some $25m (£18.6m) in prize money is up for grabs - with world records in certain events paying a $1m (£740,000) bonus.
The drugs they use must be legal, and approved by the Federal Drug Administration.
But substances like testosterone and human growth hormone - banned by the World Anti Doping Agency - are not only celebrated here, they're encouraged and for sale.

If this wasn't covered in the other thread:
It's happened.
Thor didn't get 515 record. Very close
Mitch Hooper didn't get off ground but he wasn't ready to pull that
Mitch Hooper disclosed his full stack in a video, prior to the games, which was interesting.

Too lazy to look it up but since there were restrictions on what they could use, did they get tested to enforce the rules?

The Deadlift portion -

It always should have been this. Drug testing just creates athletes who learn to beat the tests while the stupid normies really believe everyone is clean.

Yes spot on.

Just been debating some old UK Olympic javelin thrower on Facebook regarding drugs in sport, she claims she never used them, (judging by her 21st and 28th place finishes I assume shes telling the truth
She refuses to believe athletes will do literally aything to win, its in their mindset
She ueses herself as an example
PS I havent mention her placings yet, Im saving that for if she gets arsy.

But this is almost as bad IMO. Not trying to be contrarian. These games impose limits on what you can do drug wise. In mainstream tested sports there are already a whole bunch of PEDs allowed, so it's the same thing, these games only allow some anabolic steroids too. I think if you're ADHD you can take amphetamines if you have cleared it before hand and get a medical exemption, just as an example. I haven't checked but I suspect stimulants aren't allowed in these enhanced games. Even something like acetaminophen, which isn't on the list, could argued to have PED properties, Viagra too. What do you think? :D
Edit. All top athletes have frequent doctors visits and on a multitude of drugs, for example NSAID use is off the charts, in many sports everyone uses them regularly. So how "natural" is it? :D

No drug testing period would be my choice.

Mine too. But I understand why they do it this way. In the US you can be sued (for anything), they don't want anyone dropping dead or injured from drugs. I think they could still be sued :D
Ironically, some of the athletes, like the strongmen, would have had to reduce their drug intake by competing in the Enhanced Games, if the health tests are legit. LOL.
Edit. Watched the vid. Hooper's 425 was questionable and then he goes for 515. Maybe he just wanted to see if he could budge it. I don't think he could have hit his PR of 470, no way. Yeah, he probably had to reduce his drug intake big time here.

They should pass health inspections.
Blood pressure etc what have you and let them use anything.
Then again open drug allowance would make a lot of parents steer their kids away from competitive sports 🤷♂️ Well, at least in places where there are other options for ones future.

Don't Facebook much anymore, I remember it because I had a teacher involved in track and field at the Olympic level that used to bring it up. I think on the strength sport side of it the levels of guys willing to take the bargain was close to 70%.

You could circumvent lawsuits by signing no liability contracts for the athletes.

I’ve been watching the American Gladiators doc on Netflix. I truly respect Nitro’s openness about steroids

Yeah, he was pretty open about that. Funny how those guys didn't make much off that because they were pretty much whore'd out for their spots. Like if you won't do it, someone else will.

Exactly. By the time they were finally making $5K a week, they were on the road everyday for nearly a year. The first I thought about were the injuries. A minute later, it shows them all injuried. The management either was stupud or didn’t care. They saw Tower go in there and not skip a beat when the crowd applauded him. They haven’t talked about Thunder yet. Dude look like a real-life Lattimer from the Program.
