Crazy that McMahon would invest in bodybuilding in the first place. But the steroid hysteria killed the WBF. OTOH the antics at the second show especially were embarrassing to me regardless.
And Mike Quinn was busted at the show hotel when a maid found GH in the fridge. Mike was a fat fuck even with the GH LOL. Since I'm so interested in drugs, Dr Mauro DiPasquale claimed they could test for GH and penalized a few athletes when they tested positive for it. I don't think there was a test, not one that would have held up in court anyway.

I remember reading that he was around 300 lbs in the off-season before McMahon started drug testing. Quinn insisted that both he and Strydom were tested but, because they were both SUPER BIG, they had size to spare.
He was also adamant that he did NOT follow DiPasquale's high-fat diet. FWIW, Jim Quinn did win the 1990 North American Championship, the year it was drug-tested; Aaron Baker won a drug-tested USA Championships that year as well.

Yes, true.Aaron baker for both the WBF shows was super ripped but he was definitely down in size even from his 90 USA look and then comes back 94 9596 enormous one of the bigger pros at that time.

Aaron was the only guy who looked BIGGER at the 2nd WBF championship than he did at the 1st one. I thought people should have suspected him of cheating the test more than Strydom (who was smaller in '92 than he was in '91).
Maybe it was simply because he tied his hair up. He talked about using Chinese herbs. Do you think he was using Longjack (Tongkat Ali) back in the day?

Juneteenth has been around for over a century. It just became a national holiday 5 years ago, under Sleepy Joe (although I don't have today off).

Now over a century later we have to listen to all this white guilt bullshit and watch Niggnorant knee-grows on tik tok come up with dances celebrating Austin Metcalf getting stabbed. It would be more noble and useful if it were in honor of the WBF.

Leave the plantation and go where? Plus, I believe Juneteenth is supposed to mark when slaves in Texas found out they were freed, which happened reportedly two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. The country was recovering from a civil war, after all.
As for the WBF, since June 15th was the day of the first championship, maybe we could get 10 lbs of protein powder or weight gainer for $6.15 ;D

Some moved North to work in factories but most just stayed home and became share croppers.
