Title: 2026 NFL thread
Post by: Grape Ape on September 13, 2026, 06:53:38 AM
Figured we could use a fresh start:

To recap, the greatest potential QB in history, Drake Maye, with an awful start, and, despite never playing well against good teams, is still considered the greatest thing ever, and if you criticize him, you "don't know ball".

9ers tell Rams to not order their SB rings yet.  McCaffery fantasy owners pissed about lack of carries in the first half.

GMen could run into a buzz saw the first two weeks, while trying to establish themselves.

Ravens.......yes, every year they are going to win it all.   Actually could this one.

Mods, delete if redundant.

GMen looked good enough to pull Clavin H home from his business trip.

Eagles look very competent.

NYG playing with a lot of intensity.
Didn't jump offside when Prescott baited them.
Always a pleasure to beat The Boys.
What did Dak say to his work pals this morning at Lowes?

I disagree that the Eagles looked good.

Rams defense in week 2 is missing key players.

Hopefully Dart doesn’t miss a lot of time, Jameis looked horrible. I’m rooting for them this year, they have a lot of familiar faces for me being a Ravens fan.

Giants traded for McCarthy. Not sure if that actually helps. Should’ve kicked the tires on Garappolo.

Side note, that Ravens last second heave and field goal was pretty sweet, even though I didn’t watch in real time. Figured they’d take a knee and go to OT so I took a piss. Came back as he lined up for the FG and had no clue how it got to that point.

Garappolo is good but too fragile to survive the Giants poor pass protection.

McCarthy trade didn't cost much.  I hope they give him a shot, because we know what Winston will do.

Eagles team changed dramatically since last week.

I’m liking what Harbaugh is doing with the Giants. I like him as a person and think he instills discipline and accountability in his players. I’d like to see him have success there. McCarthy didn’t look too bad either.

He is proving he is an elite coach if anyone had doubts. The Giants are winning with backup bums and other teams cast aways.

I knew my Bungles should have fired Taylor at the end of last year. If they would have they could have grabbed Harbaugh and we would be killing it right now. With his ties to Southern Ohio (coach at Miami University) and wanting revenge against the Ravens (staying in the division) I'm sure we could have gotten him. Oh well....
