He should be praised, instead of chastised, for the sacrifice he is making for the sport.

He is one of the 5% who Rich spoke of who will do whatever it takes.

Worth it because of the incredible financial rewards of having a pro-card.

Stress tests are foolish to do.

Would you say great monetary rewards would compensate for poor health and early death? People always say bb is not worth it because there's no money in it so why risk your health? I never saw much logic in that.

Regarding health risks of steroids, Coach mentioned seeing Andreas Cahling recently. He has a certain perspective. I think Coach started steroids at 15 via doctor's Rx.

An anecdote: a lifting buddy told me 30 year ago that he used to sometimes lift with Andreas and they would do GHB. Andreas would fall asleep on a bench and they roused him so he would go to the bathroom to do some blow.

Steroids might be very risky for young people from a mental health standpoint, mental health is more important than physical health. I did a tiny amount of tren at I think 18 and it triggered a mental health crisis to the point of not daring to touch any steroids for a year and a half. I didn't dare touch tren for two decades after that episode, it was that bad. After my recent surgery I've microdosed it for its type III collagen building effects; it's actually great for mood when microdosed (like 5-10mg a day). I did a shitload of tren a few years ago and you go to a very dark place LOL.

It was 17. Dr. Robert Kerr. Can't compare what we did back then to now. Outside of the gym it was basically taboo to talk about it in public. Now, social media has changed the world of bodybuilding. Kids (and coaches) who think they know it all in reality don't know shit. Kids are getting their cycles from instagram influencers who openly talk about their cycles, including some pro's. Most of the bodybuilders from my era when I started are still alive. Now, they're dropping like flies before the age of 40.

Well, the doctors back then didn't really know what they were doing either. They don't prescribe steroids to kids any longer. You were a medical experiment in essence. Or would you say it was right that they prescribed you steroids as a teen? I don't know how much you know about steroids overall, the technical details, the science... but many old bodybuilders think they know everything about steroids when they really don't. There's much more information nowadays, about the dangers. I think it's overall good that it's open. No one I've seen is advocating that kids take steroids. Most older bodybuilders didn't even care about blood pressure. Now everyone is checking on a near daily basis. Just as an example.

My first cycle was through Dr. Robert Kerr at 16. It was d-bol and then some :-\

You were already stacking your first cycle. See the smilie you used.

This is absolutely true. I remember when I was going to Kerr and when he retired it was Walzack. On of the drugs that was forgot in this scenario was Anavar, the little 2.5mg football shaped ones. It went something like this and the doses varied.......Deca, Test, D-bol and anavar. That combination it was no wonder why they were strong as f**k.

Maybe you didn't take all 4 your first cycle, but you took 4 steroids at once early on, including 2 orals.

Are you changing the age you started? I have pretty good memory when it comes to the drug aspect. Apparently I didn't grab the 15 number out of my ass. You now claim 17, this would suggest otherwise. Holy shit, you said this 18 years ago and I remembered.

Rob, what advantages was I born with? I built my small business with almost nothing. As for when I was 15.....I was working for gym after school so I had my own money. I think at that time it was costing something like $15 for 1/2cc of deca and about $40 for 100 dbol tabs and I was only taking 1-2 tabs per day. You can't compare then to now, thats a rediculous comparison.

Interesting - he still has a great physique.

I don't know who that guy is. Here's Andreas, apparently at 71 or 72. He had a stroke decades ago so one side of his face hangs.
