I have this question? doe's any one have kids and are still on roids? or knows of anyone?
the reason Im asking is? I am.. (well my wife )is haveing a baby in November.
One of the side effects i am having from being on gear is my mood swings
and temper and just my whole attitude.
I dont want to be pisst off everytime the baby cries or i have to wake up to feed HIM.this is my first and I want it to be great.I dont want to have a short fuse, for no reason.....
Do you think the mood swings and whole attitude will change once the baby is born? or is it time to quit using?
thanks
-
I was on my second cycle when my first born arrived. And I did not notice (or did my wife) any mood swings a baby has a way to make everything feel good. You will be fine bro.
-
nothing is a factor in how you react to gear..its chemical and predisposition......your baby isnt going to make your mood swings better

If you notice mood swings then maybe it's time to give up the gear & focus on your new family. I agree with John that the baby probably won't help things.

I'm going through this right now. 4 month old sleeping in bed with my wife and I.
I have NO mood swings , even when the baby cries at night. If you're anything like me, that kid will be a gift.....sorry to sound emotional and shit but that's real...
And if you do get pissed off make sure you remove yorself from the situation....you'll never forgive yourself later otherwise.
You'll be fine. ;)

Dude if your a decent human being you will love that baby soooo much it will make your mood swing in a positive direction! I dont think it will be a problem...
-
i think ill be alrright
im just looking way to far into it.
I dont think there will be any way that little kid will ever get me in a bad mood.
we have been tring for 3 year and i wont let my mood swing or anything stand in the way of that.

I disagree.
My first child had the WORST case of colic on the planet, screamed all day every day and night for 18 hours straight. She slept 2 hours a day, which my pediatrician said was impossible. Nothing worked, nothing helped, and it went on for about 8 months. No bullsh*t. On top of that, my wife suffered from severe postpartum depression and was completely psychotic for about a year. We almost didn't have a second, but we eventually did. He was a great baby, but the wife's postpartum depression was even worse. Also, he weighed 10 1/2 lbs and they ripped her to shreds pulling him out. She was so traumatized emotionally and physically that she couldn't have sex for a year. Imagine what that was like.
So... no, I don't get mood swings when I'm on, but if I did, I would definitely NOT do it during this rather unpredictible time. Take that as your off-cycle time and see how it goes for a while, because man, take it from me, it aint always rosy...

I was thinking that lastnight
I think im gonna push as much as I can till the baby is born then just take a few mounths off and see how things go and start back up if things go well.
but knowing my lick Ill be off for a whole year. lol :o

Good thinking bro. I have a 3 months old daughter, so I know what I'm talking about. It's a very special time, don't fuck it up.

If you are worried about mood swings now, then think about how bad it will be when you have to deal with that screaming in the middle of the night.
Only you know yourself, so really, asking us won't help you.
If you had to ask this question, then you probably know the answer anyway.

just seeing if anyone is in that situation?

If you weren't respected here, I'd call bullshit, but DAMN! 8 mos is a LLLLOOOONNNGGGG time.
In all fairness, that situation freakfest was in is probably the worst case scenario, but yah, perhaps use this as a time off period.

If you can't handle the compound you shouldn't be on it Zeek.
Think your hormones are screwed up?
A woman's hormonal balance is way more delicate than ours.
Now throw a baby into the mix.
Good luck.
-
I think Im fine I was just looking way into it.
with all the " what ifs "
but im going to take off after the baby is born for like 6 mounths to a year.
enjoy my life and family and then get back in to were I left off.
-
Smart plan Zeek.
The wife will need to lean on you alot more.
-
It's not about you anymore...
:'(
-
yep i have to grow up :o :o
thanks guys it will be a blast.
-
It's not about you anymore... :'(
That's precisely why I'm not looking to have kids for quite a while, Freaker.
Way too much strain......
That screaming sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen.

Easy way to handle screaming newborn in the middle of the night is gently elbow the wife in the ribs (assuming she breast feeds). Works every time. ;D
-
I eat babies. ;D
I blame steroids, even though I'm natrual.

Having been a friend of the Freak for almost 20 years (shit! has it been that long? time flies, Bro's; so have as much fun as you can and get as huge as possible :)) I can vouch for his sick kid scenario....while the kid got 2 hours sleep a night; the Freak only slept between OR cases at the hospital because he was the one who had to watch the kid while his wife went thru her own issues.
Take the Freak's advice and put it off for now...no sense in aggravating a pre-existing nasty disposition.

I have 3 children, 11, 10 and 7, never did gear before they were born, did my first cycle when my youngest was 4, I continue to cycle til this day...gear is like this...if your an asshole before gear, if you have rage issues before gear, then guess what????...you will still have those issues. Period. Never bothered me, never affected me with my kids, gear does have a tendency to enhance any traits you might have....that is what I have found.
-
gear does have a tendency to enhance any traits you might have
Can you elaborate on this?
-
I think it would be prudent to start your new kid on gear when it reaches 18 months. More babies should use gear. More babies should have beards.

Your joking....Right ???
An asshole,is an asshole,is an asshole.Gear just amplifies prickness. If your a mellow dude then on prob.My kids love when I'm on.They dont know. But I have more get up and go.My ole' lady....Well....You know 8) So dont worry and enjoy the little rug rat. You'll be fine.Congrats
