He has qualified... but can he keep his shit together long enough to attend? Will the dump the NY to do the O?
-
As I've said before...Phil Heath will be Mr. Olympia before the age of 30!

Not a fkn chance, He still needs time to reach his peak. It'll take longer than 3 years.

If he can bring his back up dramatically in terms of width especially then I'd have to agree. Perhaps Charles Glass could lend a hand?
-
I thought Richard Jones was going to be the next Mr. O? He had "the look" and "the build"... What has he been doing? Yes, Phil looks good, but he has YEARS to go on the back training. A very important thing is what kind of weight he puts on, he could use 10 pounds (most of it in the back)...
-
Phil is going to do New York and decide after that.
-
Lift, In your opinion, will Phil be able to be harder at the NY Pro or he will look the same ?
-
Also his quad sweep needs to improve (a little more thicker in the legs to balance it off)
-
Richard Jones will be the next mr olympia if he can build up his legs and compete around 225. Once/if he gets to his highest level, only Melvin will have a chance of beating him. Mark my words!
This is after Jay successfully wins the damn thing finally! If he chooses to defend it (it will be successful) then the guys will have to wait another 3 years. But they are the front runners IMO, and EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion.

I thought Vic Martinez would be the next Mr. O after Ronnie... but man this guy is so inconsistent... and he's started getting a big gut.
-
Vic went for too much size and he has forgotten how to dial it in for the show. At the moment hes at the back end of the top tier in that he has all the tools but he just doesnt use them enough to make a push forward
Jones and Melvin are the 2 most genetically gifted pros in the sport, either one of them could win it all. It frustrates the shit out of me to see them struggle when they could be on a level by themselves

I was at the photo shoot with Phil Heath and Kevin Horton yesterday and he was harder and fuller then he was at the night show. So it is possible for him to look even better then he did in Colorado. My opinion he will look as good and if can time it right, harder in New York.

cool and In your opinion, why Phil got owned so bad in the front relax ? trouble wth posing ?
cause his delts are enormous but in the front relaxed they look inexistant. And I don't think that it is because his clavicules are narrow. Mark Dugdale has narrow clavicules and his shoulder look full and thick in the front relaxed

Phil won every pose against Darrem. Even in those where he was narrow or inferior, such as rear lat spread.

Yes he won every mandatory pose exept IMO the abs and tighs.
Phil won the relaxed from the side and darrem won the relaxed from the front and back

I was referring, in jest, to the fact that according to Steve Weinberger, head NPC honcho, declared that Phil on EVERY mandatory pose.
This might make you think back to the Masters Pro ;)

Mark my words!
If I only had a nickel for every time I have read that on this board...
