In my opinion Jay is the top class act in the game.
He has the physque and the overall personality to help make bodybuilding look great overall.
Which begs the question: Should most pros be like Jay?
-
Jay is someone I have looked up to over the past few years. Though he hasn't achieved his ultimate goal, the man is very classy and very hard working. He is definitely an inspiration and I think it be very emotional for him when he gets his Olympia victory.

I hope he finally gets the win. He could be screwed by an anti-mass judging mandate :-\

I agree, with this PDI coming into play, I'm skeptic to see if the IFBB really comes down hard to fight against it. Either way, I think Jay's physique cannot be ignored. If he left the IFBB, he would do very well with the PDI!

I think Jay deserved the O a couple times now.He along with Dexter and Darrem are why I would ever consider going to the Olympia.
Once again my key question/thread topic is
???Would pro bodybuilding be better off if most pros acted like Jay?

I think it would. Jay tries to remain positive and humble. He's a great thing for bodybuilding. Throughout the Las Vegas community, he is very much adored. I think bodybuilding would be so much better and get so much more exposure if more were like JC!

Agree 100%
Sooo this now begs the question as to WHY more don't follow Jays lead?
-
This is why Jay sold TONS of DVDs! They were tlaking about how many copies he sold..! Its because of him being down to earth, humble, and so good to his fans.. It almost make sme want to :'( that I didint get to see him when he was 45 min away from where I live guest posing yesturday.
The up and coming pros have BIG shoes to fill...Its not the physique only that promotes the popularity of the sport, its the pros relationships with the fans..
You hear some pros voice their opinions on getbig, saying "allthe internet loser fans" ...True, there are some bad apples, but tha comment should never be made... Dont wonder why you dont sell merchandise, or why your not marketable at all with comments like that.

Jay doesn't try to be a badass, and that's why he has many fans. Too many bodybuilders walk around with an ego, much like a dog barking, trying hard to be a badass, and that scares the norm away. People could sit here and bash Jay all day long about stuff, but he's not going to get caught up in some ongoing pointless bickering.
Why aren't there more people that act much like Jay? Most get caught up in all sorts of things early on. It's the small recognition going to their head, the easy money, and not knowing how to deal with the things that circle bodybuilding.

Watch him in One Step Closer, everywhere he goes people know him. At CostCo the guy behind the counter hollers "Sup Jay" and Jay stops to talk with him, when he's at the bank, the teller knows him and she said she watched the Olympia. Plus, how many pro's do you know that would actually walk their dogs the day before the Olympia?! He even scoops the poop from him neighbors yard! Needless to say, I was impressed!

Jay isnt any better than the current MrO. He has done an excellent representing the title for the last 8 yrs. More pros could be like Ronnie too.

We'd have a verr one dimensional sport on our hands. Personalities make things interesting and give us things to whine about on bulletine boards.............for example.
One 'Jay' is plenty

LOL.... ;D....the part about the dogs really got me ;D

I don't understand the mentality of some of you morons on here. Most of you guys spend your days and nights endlessly bashing pros, ranting on about the steroids, gh, slin, nubain etc etc.... But Jay always seems to escape everyones wrath. Why? Because hes a nice guy? Because hes white? Ronnies a nice guy too :) And he CRUSHES Jay
-
LOL.... ;D....the part about the dogs really got me ;D
oh i can only imagine the sillyness! :)
you crazy kids with your internet
-
Then we'd have alot more anti-social, quiet pro's that show poor sportsmanship when they are beaten by a landslide by a genetically perfect black man who's ancestors probably were responsible for building thousands of miles of railroads. Not to be racist! My step-mom is black! :D
-
jay is my hero
-
more pros should be like gus and kamali
it would be much more entertaining
why is everybody complaining when bbers are rude?
look at pride guys or ufc guys
Tito to iceman:iceman, iceman with that belly you look more like a snowman
hahahaha monster ownage
-
IF more pros were like Jay Cutler? - it would be a boring sport for the fans
you need the odd jerk or loud persona to contrast and provide entertainment to the sport,
bring Don King into the sport - then mainstream it to get the big bucks and ensure that the 'up and comers' can get sponsored to see the sport grow/evolve into where it should (of course kicking Don King out on the way...)

Yeah, he's a great guy. I also like Richard Jones. Seems to be a very intelligent guy, judging from his posts.

you guys talk like every athlete of every other sport is a class act ::)

Great point. Barry Bonds isn't exactly a class act ::)
