Awesome clip !! Mendenhall was a genetic freak , it shows just how far the quality of bodybuilders have gone down , and just how competitive it was back then , if Matt was trying to turn Pro now he would have done it with ease , look at most of the ' pros ' and the NY show , they can't hold a candle to him .

thanks man,he had great proportian and balance,he was one of my favorites back in the early 80,s,plus he was with rachel for awhile and thats a prize in itself ;)

After looking throught the NY Pro pics, I second that.  I have a hunch (and I've wondered for some time now why that is) but I beleive its probably due to that lack of relying on training prinicples and other "natural" variations and now a greater reliance on balls to the walls training coupled with as much juice as affordable to recover from that type training.  Follow me?

Unfortunately we don't. I consider Matt cut from the same mold as Rory or Paris although their training styles were quite different.
