It really is things like this that have turned a once obsessed and admiring fan bitter. In him he represents the decline of the once romantic views I used to harbour as a teen towards bodybuilding. Unfortunately the best man doesn't always win. This sport requires a complete remodelling on all levels. Perhaps the PDI may serve as salvation, although objectively speaking they probably won't be any more perfect. What makes me wary of the PDI is that it is a corporation, and will serve in it's best interests. I say this with no animosity as it is the nature of any business. I can see the PDI following suit with the WWE in that superstars will be groomed and maintained and ultimately step down, whichever serves the interests of profits best.
Still, can't be much worse that the status quo.
