I wanted to set this thread up to get some good recipes of different meals to switch things up and keep it interesting. I figured I could pick up a few tips and then anyone else out there looking for the same thing would be helped as well. I have a recipe for my protein waffles which is how I pretty much start my day off every day.
[u]Whole Wheat Oatmeal Protein Waffles[/u]
*This recipe yields 8 waffles when using 1/2 cup of batter.
3 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons conf. sugar
1 cup oatmeal
pinch of salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 servings protein ( This gives me 12 g protein per waffle, figure out what amount of protein you want in each waffle and adjust this amount)
3 eggs
1 tablesppon of vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups water (milk can be substituted, sometimes I use ultra skim)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (for extra flavor, its your preference whether or not this is added
