Title: The PDI 'amateur' show?
Post by: Bigger Business on June 03, 2006, 03:45:09 AM
I don't understand the difference between a PDI 'pro' and a PDI amateur?

Theres a few ifbb pro's that have apparently automatically qualified...but since there has never been a pro qualifier who decided who should get a pro card?

What was the elimination process?

Is galanti a pro....if so why?

Inconsistency is bad business

According to one of their press releases they will consider anyone who has either

1. Any male athlete who has achieved pro status from any other organization.
2. Any male athlete who has won a national or internation title from any other organization.

Also the top two from 5 weight categories in their amateur shows.

You couldn't get a place in the PDI show parking lot, much less the actual show.

At least the parking lot will have more people outside than inside after they come walking out the door pissed about wasting their money on a low-ball show

Vince please don't confuse the way to become a PDI pro with how you got all your jobs.  I think the real reason you hate the PDI is that you know you have no chance in hell of even placing in one of the amatuer shows.  In fact they would laugh you off the stage like they did at the Mr YWCA you entered a few years ago.  Oh yes I know about that one.
