Title: Under what circumstances will we see a new Mr. O ?
Post by: ribonucleic on June 03, 2006, 05:44:13 PM
Since it's obvious by now that the IFBB will never take the title away from Ronnie as long as he's capable of standing on stage unsupported, the question becomes: under what circumstances will we finally see a new Mr. Olympia?

1) Ronnie decides he wants to spend the remaining 10 years of his life eating something beside plain chicken breasts and retires.

2) While attempting an 800 pound squat for his new video - "Yeah Buddy! Light Weight! Boooo!" - his small intestine is blasted through his sphincter, causing a career-ending injury.

3) In his capacity as an Arlington law enforcement officer, Patrolman Coleman [hey, that rhymes!] is heroically killed in the line of duty while apprehending a 62 year old Mexican woman who is working as a maid without legal immigration papers. He is buried with full honors - although the solemnity of the occasion is marred by the forklift required to lower his casket into the grave.

4) While attempting to complete the People magazine crossword puzzle unassisted, Ronnie's overtaxed brain experiences a massive aneurysm - reducing him to a persistent vegetative state. When the difference is noticed a few weeks later, the state of Texas takes custody and prohibits him from further athletic competition.

5) Craig Titus breaks out of jail, zaps Ronnie repeatedly with a Taser gun, and then sets him on fire before being re-apprehended.

6) Ronnie could retire and become the next "Farting Preacher".

Even if all that happend, Ronnie would still win. All he has to do is mail a pic of himself to the O and the IFBB will mail the sandow back to him.

Torvil and Dean. I like that.

And just because I felt like bitching about it: did anyone reading that Flex hand-job they printed about Ronnie working out in his everything-ever-made glass-walled home gym [what does *that* tell you about his psychological sense of security?] have to suppress a gag reflex when, after Ronnie blandly admitted to using his connections with the Arlington Police Force to weasel out of the legitimate noise complains by the neighbors tired of listening to the gangsta rap he blasts to keep his sense of mortality at bay, the magazine took the cum-shot in its own face as it pathetically suggested "When you're Mr. O, you make your own rules! Ha ha... heh heh.."

So even if it's cruel of us to taunt his sub-normal intelligence and gloat over his shortened lifespan [and let's face it: this is really pathetic behavior] , that doesn't mean he would necessarily have been any less of an a$$hole even if we'd left him alone.

ronnie has to retire to be replaced... he is without a doubt the freakiest human alive.  i was bored and watched the 02 olympia again and there were definitely a few people in that show that beat him in my opinion. he really wasn't prepared for the 02, he wasn't super massive and he looked kinda plain, especially besides levrone and shlierkamp.  hell lee priest looked crazy in that O.  i think ronnie is pretty much dominating jay cutler and gustavo badell... those guys are trying to get to ronnie size without ronnie genetics.  the cormier of old, levrone and flex were much more formidable competition for ronnie. there isn't anyone in ronnie's way right now.  the 02 olympia has to have been the only time that the crown could have been taken.

Now that's a good point. Ronnie is like a small child. We shouldn't trust him to be careful with guns because he might shoot himself in the foot.

You would necessarily have been any less of an a$$hole even if we'd left you alone.

That's a bit better.

LOL!

6) While celebrating his 20th Olympia in a row, Big Ron makes his way to the champagne room, where he requests a happy ending............trigge ring a massive heart attack, and thus finally ending Ronnie's run at the top.

Unless the IFBB tests for formaldehyde, Ronnie takes #21 a year later.

A new Mr.O will come when Ronnie retires or they change the rules and start to allow firearms during the compulsory poses.

This is why NOBODY (the mainstream) cares about  bodybuilding, at least when sports are fixed there's still some decent competition etc. but when a glorified beauty pageant is fixed year after year...well what do you say..

If Phil Heath wins, or someone like Troy Alves, I definitely think a lot of it would due to  a new organisation taking form.

Sadly, PDI isn't all about sweet symmetry, although I was extremely impressed to see that improved midsection of RHINO. Maybe he called Intenseone or Cicherillo and started training like a BB.  ;D

Gimme some more Asian Wong Hongtype of BB's. Some Jaro Horvaths, et al.
