Flex's physique when he won the USA was the baddest of anyone all time, huge, hard, lean, classic...what else is better?

That pose he did, with his arms in front showing his triceps is classic, I can't beleive he was 215 when he turned pro.

Funny you say that. I almost like his display at the '92 USA as opposed to his '93 Arnold Classic. Something about his physique at that USA. How I wish I had the '92 USA video - if it even exists on the market.  :'(

The 1992 USA's were sold, I have Flex Magazine's from 1996 that advertise the video, I think it was done by Video Muscle or something of that sort. Can't find it anywhere, as well as the 1993, and 1995 Arnold classic videos, how on earth have they been wiped off the planet? Especially the Arnold Classic, Arnold could make some serious change off of those.

Thanks bro, those vids were great!  It was so funny to see Flex cry like a baby 2 different times especially with Arnold holding up his arm.  Must have been an over-welming feeling!  That and Flex is known for being a cry-baby. :D

Flex never believed in himself, or should I say Kenneth never believed in himself. All that swagger and cockiness (Flex) was just a cover.

People used to be awed at Flex, said he was all genetics, no hard work, and to some extent I think he was awed at himself as well.

Flex was 243lbs at the '99 Mr. O.  Which was a mistake IMO.

He almost beat Ronnie at the '98 Olympia (one point difference) with a lower bodyweight.  I think if he stayed with that physique, but 20% sharper he would have been Mr. Olympia.

Oh well....

Freak :(

In that interview with Flex in a not too old issue of MD they ask him what he thinks now about how he used to look and he said.  "I...I can't believe I looked like that!"
I think he was amazed at his own genetics.

This post is 100% on point. If you really got to know him...all that asshole shit was just a cover for a really insecure guy.

Oh and I love his posing routine.  :P   The guy was incredible.  People could learn a thing or two.

True that.  Cockiness and bodybuilding go hand-in hand, regardless if you think it's because of insecurity or not.

If you see his first two videos, you see an evolution of his cockiness. In "Hardbody", you can toss it up to him being young, but in "Mass Construction", it is over the top. "Go get your mother permission", WTF,   One would think he would be more humble after breaking his neck in two places. But the people around him hype him up to God status, like one of his training partners was like, "how big are those arms Rob, 25's?"
