Betty, you should be able to get sponsors for each individual event in the strongman competition, and thus increase the prize purse.

Sam, your welcome to come lift in the USPF Senior Nationals at the Mountainer Gaming Resort in Chester, West Virginia on Aug 19. No qualifying. Ed Coan and Brian Siders and many others will be lifting. Good opportunity to see what you can do with traditional PL with no monolift and single ply gear. I see you've tried raw and you've done the multiple ply thing. How about something in between like the USPF Seniors? Hope to see you there. Good luck in your training.

That would be a fun meet to do, but theres 2 problems. 1) i have no single ply gear 2) im doing the GA State meet the next weekend.

still rehabing that too, but its starting to get a lil better now. my bench is back up to 275!!

I have two solutions for you. 1) I can get you sponsored by Inzer and get you single ply gear. 2) The USPF Seniors trumps the GA State meet so get on up to WV and lift bro.

You might also try lifting in one of Buddy Duke's meets that he holds in Adel, GA, USPF GA State meet in March every year although he also holds a Southeastern Cup meet in December as well. He has been around PL for 30 years and was a great lifter back in his day and puts on fine meets. Give it shot, but first take me up on my offer and get over to the USPF Seniors. Go to www.uspf.com and get an entry form. Come on now don't back out on me. I'm trying to make you a multi-faceted lifter. You've done multi-ply meets with the APF and the NERB going RAW. Now its time for single ply and a great opportunity to lift with the best all time lifter ever and we know who that is. EC

I gotta do the APF GA that my friends Jon Grove and NGBB put on, but ill tell ya what. I ll come do do USPF if u can get me on with inzer. I just looked at the calender and it looks like i have 6 weeks to rehab my shoulder AND learn a poly shirt which ive never used. should be interesting. Steve, send me an email at big_byrd52@hotmail.com and we'll talk about it.
