So how do I lower my heartrate? Both resting and after cardio? Any advice would be appreciated. I guess lots of cardio should do it, but I'm curious what the lot of you have to say about it.

Cardio vascular exercises? Ofcourse you're trying to make your heart more efficient in function, so anything that gets your heart racing should be good.
I dont know much, though fitter people tend to have a lower resting pulse rate.

Exactly what's been said-increase the heart's efficiency through cardio and the rate will go down.
