Made the big time(not referring to the gyno)when Ferrigno made his comeback at the O, and you had the 4'11" little guy next to the 6'5" "monster" for comparisons - guess judges had sense of humour. Comical sh*t at the time.

He apparently trained only 6 months of the year.

Lee by 5-6". Flavio only sleeps 4 hours a day, hes well into his 40's now. I forgot all about him until now, he was great. the Ferrigno comparison took the piss, but Flavio actually beat him!

He only trained 6 months out of the year, and did 6 sets of 6 exercises, 6 days a week.  He would walk out of the gym after 60min, even if he was mid set.

His nickname was "six."

Apparently, he ate 6 hotdogs once in Mexico, hence the nickname.

Characteristic of smurfy language is the frequent use of the word "smurf" and derivatives of it in a variety of meanings. The smurfs replace enough nouns and verbs in everyday speech with smurf as to make their conversations barely understandable. It was implied a number of times that the smurfs all understood each other due to subtle variations in intonation that Johan or PeeWit (or the viewers) could not detect.

So that the viewer is able to understand the Smurfs, only some words (or a portion of the word) will be replaced with the word "smurf". Context offers a reliable understanding of this speech pattern, but common vocabulary includes remarking that something is "just smurfy" or "smurftastic".

I wonder if you can be sued for libel by using smurf language...

I smurf kamali cause kamali smurfs the smurf who is all known as a smurf....what a smurf. If i took a smurf on top of a peice of smurf , it would look better than him.

Smurf 2 : I smurfed her. I smurfed her good, oooh ya..

Smurf 1: No smurfin' way!?!

Smurf 2 : Smurf ya!

I simply cannot believe how much Dave's face has aged.  He is like mid 30s, but looks so much older...   :-\

When Flavio won the $1000 posing award at the Masters O in 2003 (given by Shawn Ray), he went down into the audience to do some posing for the fans & some of them, while sitting, where taller than he was standing next to them.  We took the picture for Bodybuilding Reviews.
