What do you guys think about it ?
Since last friday my right elbow hurt like fuck when I flex my arm in the hammer position.
It didn't hurt in the gym but I noticed it when I woke up in the morning.
didn't go really heavy too so I am wondering what's up with this.
I heard from a couple of guys that acupunture was great for healing the tendons ( If it is actually a tendon problem)
Mod, please don't move it now.
I would like to actually get some answers

Best thing to do is to go higher reps for a couple of weeks and not locking out. do 15-20 reps for as long as it takes and make sure to take in plenty of calcium. Also might want to check this thing out it works wonders: http://www.wholesalesupplementstore.com/mrm-jointsynergyv.html?ipsrc=media&reftype=pp&sptype=gg

Thanks Alexxx !
Yeah I did higher reps while training this week-end but I was wondering if I shouldn't train at all?
It didn't hurt much while I was training, only if I do something with a hammer grip.
Damn I hate injuries, I have to get big for my next contest. That 18 years old at the show saturday was a fucking monster >:(

Hey Stavios,
How are you Mate! My wife is a licensed acupuncturist and she often works on me. I find it beneficial and would recommend giving it a try. If you can find one that has experience working with athletes that will be your best bet.
I at times have over extened my elbow when boxing and find avoidng any movement that irritates it seems to help. I would also use some Bengay ( sports cream ) on the joint along with a support on your elbow. This will keep the area warm which tends to lessen the effects of training the area along with providing some additional support. You may also wont to look into joint formulas. This is the one I have found to be the most productive for my joints and I have used everything I could find at one time or another. http://www.fitnetusa.com/glch.htm This was recommended to me by Chad Nicholls after I had my shoulder surgeries and I was back sooner than expected. Not saying this was an over whelming reason as to why but it certainly helped.

An experienced person in acupuncture can work wonders especially for your condition. Make sure you check references so you don't run into one of those looneys

Thanks Guy and Vince !
I booked an appointment in 2 days, we'll see how it works ! :)

It is perhaps Tennis Elbow. I have had it in the past from lifting and it sucks. But for God sakes don't do the following:
--Look for the "instant" cure by pin poking
--Ignore it or "tough it out"
Just because you don't know what's wrong doesn't mean it's not serious. If your knee "popped" would you be looking at the same "cure"? I hope not.

I had tendonitis too
Got a cortisone shot and it was brand new.....for a while
Then it came back.....
The only thin that helped was time off.......few months
If you keep pushing it .....it will never heal
Makes you think twice about your form there after on many lifts
Its a very pesky condition....pain in the ass and takes a while to go away.
For me, I could sling around a lot of weight in the gym but it would kill me to shake hands with someone.

ok my elbow is way better today.
I've been putting ice on it and a cream called " baume ehrlich" on it. I bought that cream at my school while I was studing to become a massotherapist.
Great product !
I used it on my knees a couple of times too and it always works great !
seeing the acupuncturist tommorow and I am pretty confident that monday I'll be training at 100 % again.
I trained this weak but like a real pussy.
like 20-30 reps shit..... :-X
