Just found this on Youtube, it's probably old news but I found it interesting, they actually show him shooting test in his shoulder. For someone who's on gear he looks like absolute GARBAGE...

John Romano takes all that crap and he looks like that. I guess he doesn't plan on being pro. I don't know allot about steroids, so I guess I shouldn't judge. The thing is from this video, the guys that's in it. There really not that big, from taking that stuff. What's the deal.

That's what I thought, the whole time I thought he was natural, when I heard him say in the vid that he's been using for 23 years on and off my jaw dropped in shock.

I saw that whole segment a little while ago and thought that it was great. It gave a little balance to the steroid bashing that was constantly going on in the media at the time. The key words in that segment were " responsible use ", you can abuse just about anything. I read in MD a while ago and I am not sure if it's true, that in the 60's and 70's bodybuilders used steroids only pre-contest, to prevent them from losing muscle mass while dieting. The article said that in the off-season they trained naturally. Was wondering if anyone else heard of this.

gotta agree with ya. its nice to see a news report thats show a realistic view of steroid use.

their are millions of people in the states alone that are taking some kind of HRT....And its my guess that only a small percentage actually have massive amounts of muscle....Steroids are used for so many other things other then just building huge muscles....If you believe Jose Canseco(and i do)that 80% of all baseball players were using steroids, do you think if all 80% of them did a clip like John Romano just did that they would look bigger then him...Maybe a handful....

Bob Clapp lives in the Phoenix area and is a very nice guy. He trained and trained people at several of the gyms I frequented back in the day. Bob looks TREMENDOUS for a 70 year old man!

Boy, I remember Romano from the late 80's and early 90's. I realize he's a lot older now, but he looks like crap in comparison. I don't know if that's just age or "abuse".

True! I see him all the time with his son. He does look like shit. Damn! Certainly not the way he's always looked. He said he's been off for over 3 years when he was on HBO and only did the shot for the show like Mars said. Told me he has been burned out, had some nagging injuries he wanted to let heal, and is working his ass off, but is ready to start training/dieting again. Juice? South Florida is the land of HRT clinics. I think he'll put it back together soon.

I'd love to see someone like this train natural for a few years. Another clown who probably couldn't gains much without drug use...strike that...didn't gain much with use...haha
What a joke. I have more respect for some guy who's 145lbs gaining 5lbs naturally.
