Title: Justin Gatlin, what have you gone and done...?
Post by: tingnting on July 30, 2006, 02:38:36 AM
A positive testosterone test, his 2nd positive test, and now is looking at a lifetime ban. You foolish man.
I always thought Asafa Powell was the better athlete.

Another one bites the dust.

A new kind of testing, so many more to come. When are people gonna realise that those with best chemist will take the top spot on the podium

no surprisw there, I always had a feeling he was on gear, most the sprint guys are, you can't run that fast without it.
WHY and how do you think he was capable of times faster that Ben Johnson when he was on the gear.

every athlete is on gear, every last 1 of them without exeception. There is a guy in my gym who is on the British Bob-sliegh team who takes a bucket load of test just for that 3 second run at the start.

Even snooker players take beta-blockers to slow down the heart rate when taking a pressure shot.

Peter "EBBO" ebdon was definately on gear the year he won the world champion ship, never seen anyone strike the ball so hard, apparantly he was benching more than big john virgo and john parrot.

There's apparently no choice in order to win, the difference with Powell might just come down to whether he's caught. Gatlin shouldn't have been saying he's anti-drug at the same time.

Only his first positive for test though. His world record will be removed if the positive is confirmed.

i think it's great it just adds another level to it... and when the bookies will make it possible to bet on those who we think will get caught next, it will be even more exciting
never in the history of sports has there been a more exciting time than now!!

He has tested positive before for Amphetamines.

The former positive was not related to test.

I see nothing wrong with Track athletes using roids.  In team sports, yes.  But not in individual competition.

Let's test the human limits.  Why not.  If they voluntarily use roids, knowing the risks, why would anyone care (except the former record holders of course  ;) )

A bad weekend for US sports. From a Brits point of view..., these governing bodies have really got the hump with America, going after every last 1 of them...!

I bet they were really pissed that they couldn't catch Lance Armstrong...!

Gatlin says it was a set-up, there might be some truth in that...!

No cover-up that I know of. Rather, they knew how to pass the tests without detection. Ironically it was Gatlin's coach who revealed the existence of the new steroid in the Balco situation, which has since likely helped raise the level of sophistication in current drug testing.

"I was shocked when I was informed about the positive "A" sample," she said. "I have requested that the testing of my 'B' sample be expedited and done as soon as possible.

Marion can save that sh*t.  I want to hear her threaten to sue someone now.   ;D

Out of EVERYBODY mentioned in this steroid frenzy, she has gotten off waaaaaaaaaaaaay to damn easy.

Bring on the POSITIVE "B" sample, so I can hear the infamous "I will fight this!" "I've never knowingly taken steroids!" "I would like to apologize to my fans!"

I understand you want to be civilized in public, but a normal "True Innocent" human response like "THIS IF F**KING BULLSH*T!" "I'M TIRED!" "I WORK TO F**KIN HARD FOR THIS SH*T TO GO DOWN LIKE THIS!" would be more beleiveable then the sh*t these fools say after they get busted.

Just heard on the news that Gatlin's ban could be reduced to as much as four years if he gives more information on the people around the sport who are supplying all this stuff. Basically, be a supergrass. Wonder if he'll do it?
