That other NABBA (Jose Lopez, Miguel Barcelo Perez) lost their trademark. Now the only NABBA is the original NABBA.

This started when Joe Lopez the then NABBA president went to jail for something to do with steroids , and the new guard took over , well when Joe got out the New Guard wouldn't let him have his presidency back and wouldn't let him back into the federation so Joe with his followers (steroid buyers) went and started up his own federation and through some gap in the name rights called it , you guessed it NABBA !!
Been a bit confusing because of this for many years !!
now it wont be , we hope !!

actually, it was the international office that told him to get lost. there was no new guard at the international office
so Joe with his followers (steroid buyers) went and started up his own federation and through some gap in the name rights called it , you guessed it NABBA !!

it's only been since 2001.
the faux NABBA was really only New Zealand, Greece, a few people in Spain, and NAC in Germany.

I think the Greek was Joes Nabba , here in NZ we have only one Nabba and I think that it associated to Joes , while in Aussie there is 2 NABBA,s same with England I think , like I said a bit confusing ???

there were no national or local contests held in the UK that was affiliated with the faux NABBA. Don't know of any in Australia either.

neither Jose Lopez or Miguel Barcelo Perez have won any major contests that I know about.

which is correct, except it wasn't steroids, and he got off on a technicality. The "real" NABBA started in 1948 and continues to this day. The faux NABBA started in 2001 when Lopez was not allowed to return to his duties in the real NABBA. Now they will have to select another name, or more likely just disappear. The only contests the faux NABBA held were always with Germany's NAC. NAC will continue on.

Any how nabba should alighn itself with the PDI so there champions can have a decent pro avenue to pursue !!

PDI pros can enter the NABBA Pro Universe too, you know. Arnold was Pro Mr Universe in 1968, 1969 and 1970, all while entering IFBB pro contests.

Yeah but Nabba has only one pro show a year and the prize money wouldnt buy you a 2 dollar hooker , so as part of winning your class at the Universe or Nabba worlds you should get immediate PDI Pro status --- good idea huh !!!
