Kevin told me to call the Las Vegas Convention Center and see about the Olympia Expo. It appears not one person there knows anything about it. I actually talked to three different people. A girl named Lisa knew nothing about it. They each told me to go to the website and look it up but didn't find anything there either. Here is a link to the calendar of events till the end of the year. Strange. I just don't know what happened. Weird uh? Oh well hopefully it will go as planned. I want to go.

Kevin who?

It it as the convention center. If you go I will see you there. We are sponsoring a raw bench meet which will be held on Friday afternoon.
-
oh, damn I wont be in vegas till 11pm. I would wanna be in that bench contest
-
Keith, you wanna put Lee Priests suit back on, your posts are boardering on ridiculous now. ::)
Dont you have a Funeral or I mean PDI show to help promote?
-
Oh oh the IFBB clowns are dodging a fact I have posted. Why doesn't someone from AMI call the convention center and have them put the show on the calendar. This is something a promoter does. Makes sure things are done. Do you realize how many people visit Vegas and like going to conventions like this. Typical half-ass promotion for the Olympia. Sad really sad

Was at last years Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. It was my first time in America (stayed at the Luxor) and fucking loved it.
Came away with loads of free shit and saw a lot of famous faces.
Ah, a good day.

Well, they do realize that very few people who are planning to visit Vegas for other reasons will bother to check out the Expo. It just is not a very Vegas "event". It's probably safe to bet that over 97% of Olympia Expo attendees will be people who went to the convention center (whether residents of Vegas or out-of-towners) for that specific purpose.
Things were much different when the show was at Mandalay Bay, because you had a lot of walk-up traffic from people who just happened to be visiting the hotel that weekend and noticed that something 'interesting' was going on. Plus, back then, the Expo was free, so that was even more of an enticement to lure in people who otherwise might not have gone in.
By being at the convention center, the organizers *know* that every person who comes *intended* to be there, so therefore it's easy to charge them $10/day for entry. Free is better, but I haven't heard anyone complain seriously about the $10 fee.
I don't know about the online calendar, but the LVCC did put up a very nice sign on the front of the building last year. I actually like the "O" logo and it did serve nicely as a beacon a year ago to let people know exactly where the Expo was taking place once they arrived at the venue.

How badass would it be if The Olympia traveled to different cities every year?
How much more of a market would BB appeal to if that was the case?

;)

I cant wait for the PDI to jump off. I already ordered a cool 80s pdi shirt, and I'm all set. I cant wait to meet the other 6 people that shows up for the event. I don't have to worry about it being to crowded, so I will have the opportunity to choose from any seat I like.

;)
hey Keith....I can animate that!
;D

they used to travel from city to city back in the days. One time they had the Olympia over seas I think. one time in atlanta, and new york back in 1998. Since then, they move it permanently to Vegas

her occupation is no secret. Anything that empowers women into taking more money in an hour than some guys earn all week is pretty amusing, and nothing to look down upon.

You obviously spoke to the wrong person. I'd suggest talking to Helen Lavine there.
