Title: Aspirin vs Ibuprofen (advil)
Post by: Faust on August 25, 2006, 11:03:21 AM
Is aspirin any good compared to it?

I think they prescribe ibuprofen against inflammation, so it would heal faster and you have less pain.
Does aspirin have the same effect? I have some aspirin at hand...

On a side note. I hurt my shoulder. It hurts when i lift it above a certain angle.
It's been hurting for 2 days now, but it's better now. I think tomorrow the pain will be gone. How long till i start lifting again? I thought maybe i should give it a week or two?

Medrol is very good, but also has nasty side effects, like liver damage! It is a very strong pain killer but I only use it when I need to kill the pain for a few hours. It does nothing for recovery!
