Title: World's Strongest Pro!!!
Post by: G.STEELE on September 06, 2006, 09:02:15 AM
In Flex magazine Ahmad Haidar is tossing up a 495lbs. incline press with ease. Unreal. Not bad for a small dude.
It's a little odd that 8 of the 10 plates look somewhat different and there is no bend in the bar...

i would absolutely love to load a real 495 on the bar and watch as it came down and tore both pecs, hahahaha, how do you press 495 on the incline with 16 inch arms like Haidar's?

haha Yeah I just saw a pic of cutler with 5 plates a side incline bench while he is pretending to strugle. I don't think that behemoth can go any more than 315 on the incline unless his wife comes in to spot him. hahaha

of course the plates ahmed is using arent real.  you can just tell by looking at them.  they probably weigh like 20 lbs a piece, maybe even less.

in the article, it says that he goes up to 455 on bench presses for 6 reps.  at his heaviest offseason weight of 240 on a 5'7 frame, that may be beleivable.

Team Flex gets carried away with Photo shoots.  I remember reading Troy’s article and they were saying that all the weights were real.   Big deal; shouldn’t all the photo shoots be done with real weights?? After all it is an educational Mag

Greg Kovacs did the same thing when He claimed he could do 7 plates aside on the incline bar. Joke.  ::)

if they are going to exaggerate they may as well take it to the limit...next time they should put , say 7-8 'plates' per side for haidar and picture him appear to be straining as he reps out with 800lbs LOL
