Title: Terrell Owens
Post by: Cap on September 08, 2006, 01:50:28 PM
I was just watching VH1 top 100 wanted bodies.  Hearing people talk about this clown was hilarious.  He is ripped and athletic, I'll give him that.  However, when people are talking about how he was "huge, big, thia and that" the guy is skinny/lean IMO.  You want to talk about muscular athletes, look at McGwire or Pujols, not TO.

Mcgwire was fat. He had huge forearmes indeed, but his bf was probably around 20%. T.O. is built much better imo.

Who gives a flying fuck? He's a 100x better athlete and 100x richer than you'll ever be.

They are on that mtv hot bod sh*t. There are tons of athletes who have massive development. David Boston kills TO in that department.

I disagree only on the topic of mass which is what these people talk about.  For Christ's sake, they said Nelly was buff.

The show was VH1's top 100 wanted bodies. Most people are not attracted to people who carry extra bf. To the average person T.O. looks much better than Mcgwire, as does Nelly imo. It's all about having decent size and maintaining low bf. Warren Sapp is a big dude, but no one would want to look like him. (btw, Nelly is bigger than that TA guy that everyone on here fawns all over :-\)

I agree, but he hasn't done shit since he was a Cardinal.

Haha.  Chill out Bezerk.  I never questioned his athletic talent but you have no knowledge to challenge mine.  As far as topic content, he isn't big.  99 % of WR in the NFL aren't big.   Simply the truth killer.

Matt Jones is 6'6" and 226. He's a pretty big dude.

I understand your point.  My point is the title of "buff or huge".  That term should not be applied to him.  Call him ideal, cut, etc and you have an argument but not the other adjectives.

How about James Todd Smith? Do you think he is big? I think he is a big dude.

Reality check: TO is not a small guy at 6'3", 200+ lb., AND is in great shape, David Boston or not. McGuire looks like shit without roids and was never looked athletic.

T.O looks skinny if you look at pictures.
Because there is no frame of reference; stand next to him and let me know.

Agreed.

It was just a matter of time before the nfl finally caught him for gear though. lol

He's 242 lbs.  My point is not weight because another guy at TO's weight will look bigger.  T.O looks skinny if you look at pictures.  Detailed muscles he has but if you just want to say a buff guy in sports there are better people to use than TO.

cbs sportsline:

18 Matt Jones, WR
Height: 6-6
Weight: 229
Birthdate: 04/22/1983
Birthplace: Fort Smith, AR, USA
   Team: Jacksonville Jaguars
Position: Wide Receiver
Years Pro: 2

I googled it at it was 242.
He dropped his weight in the offseason to be quicker now that he is a receiver.

Two different types of athletic physiques. Marks BF always stayed between 12-14% and stayed that way for about 2 years AFTER he retired..FACT!

Normal people think TO is huge. How many times do threads have to be started pointing to the fact that 99.9 percent of women and people in general think pro bb size is stupid and gross.

Owens is plenty big for any woman or any average Joe.

i live in St. Louis and have seen McGwire up close and he's really not that big, this was in 98 at the height of his home run chase and he looked to be about 240 or so and maybe 6'3" or 6'4".

Not exactly...
He did a guest spot a couple of years ago..
I think it was friends or Sienfield..
He did a skit where he gets caught bed with a married girl and he jumps off bed in just boxer shorts and he was ripped, and 6 pack to boot. I think he came out on the show at the time he was competing against sammy sosa for the home-run record..

I trained Mark from 99' to 2001and knew him before that, in his final season he stayed between 245-250lbs at around 6'4-6'5 for a baseball player that's huge!

the funny thing is that people talk about Pujols here in St. Louis like he has the muscle mass of Ronnie Coleman, the height of Andre the Giant  and you see him and he's like 6'2" and a chubby 230lbs. hahahaha.

the guy is an absolutely INCREDIBLE baseball player but he's really nothing special physically, BTW he trains at a Gold's about 10 miles from me and brings in a bodygaurd with him when he works out.

Your all a bunch a homos if you don't appreciate T.O. The man is a superior athlete and is completely dedicated when it comes to his training/nutrition regimen. He often takes Lots of heat from other teamates regarding his food selections. In mens health he said, he is a natural endomorph and eats/trains to achieve the look he has.

That's huge for anyone but a BBer.  Did you do anything special in his training regime?

Lots of DB work, rarley anything with a straight bar, very little overhead pressing movements, concentrated alot on stabilizers (rotator cuff, hip stabilizers (psoas, etc) and not too much in the way of compound movements and a ton of core work!

Thats pathetic.  Who's going to attack him at the gym?
i don't think it's that it's more to keep from people coming up to talk, ask for autographs, etc, that's the mentality of people from St. Louis, it's like a big, redneck smalltown where people want to know everyone's business, i've never seen a place where people were so concerned with the boring, mundane aspects of other people's lives like where you went to high school, where you buy groceries, where you get clothes, etc., stupid shit.

He's a great athlete but he's self-rightous pompus ASS. He's quickly becoming the Barry Bonds of the NFL!

For one T.O. is a receiver.

Try looking at Michael Pittman from Tampa Bay.

TO looks GREAT.

DOnt forget David boston rumors .... ;)

Boston had some nutritionist following him around everywhere at one point. I remember that ESPN article that painted him as a steroid abuser like he was taking 40 pills a day. I met him when he played with the Dolphins and was a really nice. His dad is a referee.

That runningback from Florida State a few years ago had some crazy arms too, I believe it was Nix.
