Ive heard about this a few times but never took any interest in seeing it. Im stunned, look how easy he makes it!!! This guy is something else, i know about his Olympic numbers but its the way he makes the squat look like nothing that impresses me the most

That's nothing, Mat Duvall can shoulder press that :)
-
507lb clean and jerk like it was NOTHING! Why isnt this guy making millions in wrestling, he would fit right in?

for reps!
-
thats insane...when i do f squats with 225-275 it freaking hurts my front delts so much, that the next day it feels like i trained them...from all the strain... they suck. that guy is a mutant.
-
Fake plates, pure and simple.
-
how do you know??
ta ta
-
Definitely not fake plates. He did the front squats with ease and so it stands to reason he could do a clean and jerk with that weight. The guy is phenomenal - I can appreciate how he wants to remain true to his sport and not pimp himself out to any yank "sports" like wrestling. Fair play to the guy.
-
Are those fake plates? Most likely. How can I say that? Well Hossein has been known to pull that kind of stunt in training vids before... There was once that fabled 850 lb raw bench from a few years back. When I was still competing I saw a vid of it from a friend of mine. We all got a big kick out of it.

Watching the strongest man on earth front squatting a double with 617 lbs puts claims from Muscletech "athletes" in perspective.

Lots of bullshitting going on here...
There is no way, absolutely no way, Kamali has ever done a single with 765 lbs, belt only. Maybe Team Kamali, all 16 of them, could do partials with it in a smith machine, but no way Kamali could do a real squat below parallell.
I seriously doubt the deadlift number as well.
I positive that the benchpress claim is an outright lie. Kamali has never benchpressed 585 lbs. If he ever shows up on getbig again, I hope he will address the claim of benchpressing 585 lbs.
I think Rezazadeh could squat raw (belt only) high 800's . Probably the same could be said for Shane Hamman.
Kamali isn't only 100-130 lbs behind the strongest man on earth.

I'd call bull on the Incline DB presses as well, there is no way in hell Tamali is putting up 200's for 5 reps. The curl is probably true, but he swings it up.

The funny thing is that Jay Cutler and some other guys are being more truthful, and thus exposing Kamali as the little delusional liar he is.
Full Name: Jason “Jay” Cutler
Arms (contest): 22"
Bench Press (1 rep max.): 550 lbs.
I seriously doubt that Jay Cutler only has half an inch on Kamali when it comes to arms.
Monster exposure of the truth. Next time, I suggest Kamali gets the rest of the Muscletech guys to up their arm claims by at least an inch.

Good point. I wonder how much of a laughing stock he is among these pros. Are they laughing at him behind his back? Does he know it and is so embarrassed by his shit-poor physique that he's drawing out of the olympia?
-
What the heck? Did you just drop down from jupitor or something.. Ronnie did 4 reps easy with 585 in his vid. He could'a done more but didn't want to risk it. I say Ronnie could'a done it for 10 reps.
he admitted it "beat" him, and he was struggling from the first rep. This guy makes 2 reps with a bigger weight look like a warm up
Now if you had said you did it for 4 reps with a couple of broken ribs then i couild have understood that, afterall we dont want your numbers to drop without good reason

I think some people need to realise that hossein razzy is the STRONGEST WIEGHTLIFTER OF ALL TIME, he clean and jerked 600 pounds. He's own any bodybuilder in leg training, even ronnie.
His front squat is ass to grass and he locks out. ronnie kinda jumps the weights doing partials.
-
Front squats are so much better than reg squats. It puts more emphasis just on quads. I can handle 4 plates and a quarter myself for a few.
Monster strength :o

You will always have buffoons coming on here claiming that Rezazadeh couldn't leg press what Ronnie does.
Give Reza a few weeks of practicing the excersise, and he would smoke Ronnie so bad it wouldn't even be funny.
Ronnie is big and extremely strong. But Rezazadeh is, as mentioned the strongest weightlifter of all time.

If you analyse ronnie 2000 pound plus legpress, it is just 90 degrees, jay does very deep ones and struggles to get ten reps on 9 plates, its all about how far back you have the seat. Yates went super deep with around 10/11 plates. I'll tell you one thing, I've trained legs with a couple of weightlifters, and when they did the legpress, they found it VERY EASY. FULL rom squats are so much harder than 90 degree legresses lol.
imo Hussein could have done have 2/3 more reps with 617 on front squat. I would love to see more of his training.

Seems like some gyms wants to have leg presses with a very low incline, so the lifters can pile on the poundage like there is no tomorrow.
Pat Robertson and Ronnie Coleman must have the same constructors for their leg presses.

True, But in all honesty Hossein looks like a fat shit slob who doesn't even go to the gym. He may eat guys alive in lifts, but outside of the gym people just think hes another morbidly obese person who cant control his addiction for food.

lol you do realize that if he dieted down to competition weight he would still be a tank. But that wouldn't be much use for him, since hes a olympic heavyweight lifter, and not a homo who wears thongs on stage

Well he can't rely on massive amounts of anabolic steroids to get big, he has to do it the traditional way, lots of food. He is in the heaviest weight class with no limits, so why not get as big as possible. (I'm not saying he doesn't do performance enhancing drugs, if he does it would be small amounts for short periods of time so that he doesn't fail the many drug tests he has to do).

they dont have mnay tests, but speaking to someone in the game, the testing is going up a notch, he is using, but is phenomally strong without drugs also.

That is completely untrue. In clothes the guy looks like a massive man not someone who is morbidly obese. What a stupid thing to say.
What do you think average people think of pro bodybuilders? What do you think they think of off-season pro bodybuilders? What about contest ready pros?
Finally, you don't get to be the best in the world at any form of resistance training without looking different from the norm. These people don't care what average people think.

-
is this guy as strong as paul anderson? is he stronger than that one lithuanian guy?
different strength than Paul Anderson, Anderson could supposedly squat with well over 1000 pounds to a little above parallel, deadlift around 825 and bench around 620, his Olympic lifts weren't anywhere near what this Iranian guys are but he did maybe a 450 clean and jerk and a 350lb. snatch or so but Anderson could one arm push press a 300lb. dumbbell, i've also seen some footage of Anderson overhead pressing 440 with very little knee bend.

Paul Anderson was a beast, the training methods of his era weren't on par with those available today.
As mentioned, it's hard to compare Anderson with Reza, because Reza obviously blows Anderson out of the waters in the Olympic Lifts, but Anderson had shit technique, but his strength in other areas was crazy, although some of those claims seems a bit exaggrated.
Anderson was a dominant in his era, Reza in his. I'd say Anderson may have the slight edge in raw potential, but potential is the thing you usually never gets to see. ;D
The comparison between Reza and Savickas is interesting, and fair.
Savickas has loglifted 440 lbs, and also done 900+ lbs in the squat in a powerlifting meet (600+ lbs bench, 880 lbs deadlift).
Reza and Savickas have different qualities, it's just a matter of deciding who's the greater champion IMO.
I can't honestly decide, I am a big fan of Savickas, but Reza is just god damn strong.

you said it like i wanted to say it Hedge, Paul probably has the edge in just sheer strength but Hossein is a way better Oly lifter than Paul ever was although i don't think Razzledazzle could come near Paul's overhead pressing power, i used to train at another gym that an older dude owned and he said that he saw Paul Anderson put on a lifting exhibition and he said that Paul came out in a big Fellowship of Christian Athletes t shirt , slacks and dress shoes and one arm clean and press a specially made 300lb. long dumbbell he said it looked like a short 4 foot mini barbell.

lol what a beast...
did paul even focus on the olympic lifts though? i thought he was a powerlifter almost exclusively and performed the olympic lifts in some comps just out of sheer strength.
another thing- did paul juice?????

Paul did compete in the Olympics in either 1956 or 1960 and like i said his Olympic lifts were very competitive for the time and the rumor was that the Russians started squatting seriously when they found out that was Paul's secret, he was put together more for powerlifting at 5'9" 375lbs. and he was a monster shoulder presser doing 440-450 with almost no knee bend, Tommy Kono the Olympic gold medalist claimed that he saw Paul deadlift 1,000lbs. with hooks to aid his grip, and no i don't think Paul juiced and the crazy thing is he didn't have a big appetite by his own admission but was a huge milk drinker and would down milk by the quart between sets of squats and deadlifts.
-
i dont know if paul juiced. he compteded in the 50's at home with equipment he made himself.
hussein takes lots of drugs and trains in a world class environment.
it doesnt bother anyone what hussien is about? where he is from, etc.?
overall, hussein is stronger than coleman. but there is a difference between a guy who weighs over 400 lbs. and has trained his entire life for Olympic lifts. vs. a dieting bber who doesnt specifically train for strength or for particular lifts.
gary frank is the world's strongest man.

yeah i remember reading most of his nutrients came from milk...he supposedly ate 3 normal meals a day and just sipped milk during his supposedly hours-long workouts. all things considered(no drugs) i dont see how anyone could argue that paul wasnt the strongest man ever.
-
That is one strong mamaluke..... :o
-
Not sure who this guy is,i found the pic in an old M+F.Thats 7 plates and what looks like a 5kg and collars on the bar.
-
I know a lot about Paul and some of what is being said is not exactly accurate. Paul did train heavily for the Olympic lifts and used the powerlifting style movements to build his strength FOR his Olympic lifting. In fact, he believed his heavy squatting was one reason he was so strong in the Olympic lifts.
Paul was dominant in his competitive Olympic lifting career but not to nearly the same degree as Hossein.
In Paul's day the Olympic lifts were also performed more strictly. You could not even touch your thighs to get the weight up whereas now they are allowed to use an upper leg heave.
Paul was brutally strong in both his upper and lower body. Hossein is also brutally strong.
-
Connie Roleman is nowhere near as strong as Hussein Razzledazzle.
Let Coleman blow up to a fat 350-375 and have him train like Reza and then compare ;)
-
several russian olympic weightlifters have front squatted more than shown in the video of rezazadeh (altho..maybe rezazadeh could have done more). Also remember that olympic lifters never go to failure on the front squats in training. Rezazadeh is a beast tho!
-
Let Coleman blow up to a fat 350-375 and have him train like Reza and then compare ;)
too late in his life for that, 10-15 years ago maybe but its too late in his life to get to that level now
-
Olympic lifters only need to have a max front squat a bit above their max clean. Eg if a lifter has a max clean of 400 then there is absolutely no point in training your front squat to a max of 600 say. You could get away with having your 1rm at 450. Training energy can be better utilized in bringing up other movements. I'm sure if Rezazadeh trained just the front squat like a powerlifter, he could put up much more.
