I am fightintg at 205. I weigh 215ish. The weigh in is Satrday Oct7 at 3pm and fights start at 8pm. I am planning on sitting in sauna night before and that day if need be. What is the best way to rehydrate and energies myself for the fight? I do not want to cut weight now as I want retard strenght for fight

It's really hard to cut alot of weight on a same day weigh-in with out affecting your strength. All I can say is eat light the day before, and workout later in the day that particular day,(you can do some sweat runs, shadowboxing or pad work all while wearing a sweatsuit) you have to cut off your fluid intake early in the evening on the eve of your weigh in (at around 7 or 8pm) and stay without fluids until the moment you step off that scale. It's hell going without fluid but it's always worked for me, and it's good for loosing around ten-pounds, but not too much more.

Use Pedialite to rehydrate after the weigh in.

That does suck that you can't weigh in the day before; Chute's right. Hitting a sauna would be your best bet.

I have cut from 197 to make 185, but it was the day before. Like others have stated, I used pedialite pops, and drink to rehydrate. I was a TON stronger than the others when I rolled on the matt at 192. I tried cutting to 170 once, (from 188), and I wasn't able to bounce back. I was extremely weak, and by the second round, I was toast. Don't reccomend cutting too much.
