Super lean. decent legs too, who cares about the calves...hell most competitors train them hard 6 mo out from what ive seen!!

Great arms/dlets/pecs, lats, keep doing what your doing.  TONS of bodybuilding potential..your oozing it my brotha.

You, badly!  They really throw your overall look off.

The rest looks good, though.  Good pecs and tris.  Delts could use some thickness but the upper is solid overall.  Get the wheels to match and you should compete.

I started eating more last week and I have put on about 6lbs.  So I was dryer last week, should have taken pics then.

when hitting that side tricep, try twisting your torso more bast! and blow out to show your abs.

Bring up the hammies, id say calves too, but everyone has weak calves it seems...focus on your legs generally....

I started working out hard at about 17 and I played soccer at high school.  Everyone would comment on how my forearms were bigger than my calves.  hahaha

I tore ligaments in my knee and had surgery awhile back.  My knee just fully healed recently where I can train legs with little pain.

Yes I train hams and calves.    I am doing higher volume training now and training them more frequently in the week to try to get them to grow.

bast has the hardest thing going for him, his conditioning... Legs can be brought up- i think thats easier than having to battle with your body to stay at low BF%.....like me now, im hiding all my hard work under fat :( .....so annoying.

need to learn how to stand and posistion your feet.

heres a tip on how to stand on front shots to bring out your quads more.

feet shoulder width...toes pointed slightly out...knees slightly bent....push your heels into the ground...squeeze glutes.

this will bring out your quads as much as possible.

trust me...one thing i'm good at is mandatories and quarter turns. ;D

on quarter turns to the right and left...legs should be together...the front foot slightly ahead of the back foot...the heel of the front foot pressed against the arch of the back foot...push legs toghether as much as possible to show the hamstrings...twist upper body very slightly and blow the air out.

Bast, great work! Really great physique! I would have guessed that you took all those partial shots to hide weaknesses but in these complete shots you look really good! You really need to learn how to pose your legs, though. The double-jointed knee pose isn't going to impress the judges. Unfortunetely. And your lats completely disappear in the MM.

high volume training is a waste of time if you are a bodybuilder trying to gain lean muscle tissue...especially for someone natural...HIT is the way to go.

the basis of anyone training to become a champion bodybuilder is HIT...it doesnt have to heavy duty, or dorian yates blood n guts style, but it has to have the basic principles in HIT.

i dont know what you read exactly... i can tell you that the basis of his training is HIT...he will incorporate high volume training in certain instances.

we are talking about training for the purpose of building lean muscle tissue...for the vast majority of trainees, especially on this level, this is done with HIT.

Tore ligaments in knee, that's why legs are behind.  Calves are just genetically difficult to grow.

You must do something extra from the last workout to make muscle gains.    Whether it be more sets, more weight, more reps or a combination.  That being said I don't plan on doing high volume every workout.

 It will take some experimentation to try and figure out the right pattern.

there are different type of HIT programs...if you have watched dorians blood n guts vid you see him doing a few what he calls warm up sets...then you see him do his one working set...this would be with the heaviest weight he can handle to failure and beyone...the reps are done with strict form in a slow and controlled manner...after a set like that, especially if you have a spotter and take it beyond failure, you are done.

i agree that medium volume training should be used also from time to time...but i think high volume is a waste of time.

heres a quote from dorian on HIT...

"It is the intensity of the exercise that is important not the duration. If you do one set that is adequately intense enough to stimulate any muscle, then you are not going to gain anything, even if you do 99 or 100 such sets. If you do one set that is intense and to failure, then you have triggered the muscle growth.

Doing another set at that point is not going to give you any more. It is just going to make it more difficult for your body to recuperate. So that is the reason for doing fewer sets."

good upperbody... calves non-existant. your quads arent that bad, they have sweep on them. you can transform your legs in a year if you did heavy squats and hacks on them(ass to the ground).

Yes delts are one of the areas I'm focusing on.   Side delts in particular.   Just doing more lateral raises basically and doing drop sets.

good pysique. but really, work on calves and hamms.
But, for some people, no matter how hard they train, their calves never develop. I train my calves twice a week, hardcore (nexte day can't even walk) and there is no progression. Believe me I tried several training methods and progression was minimal! But when I juiced I saw a small progression (2 cm even though it wasn't very impressive.) Calves are extremely genetics-dependent!

hmmmm....we've got pretty much the same build, you're more cut than I am and have a better chest but my delts are bigger and my calves are better......I'll make one suggestion to you, take it if you want if not, no big deal.  I never, ever had any calfs until about 2 years ago.  Now I know you hate DC but if you follow the calf routine to the letter your calfs will grow.  You have to go as heavy as possible.  Even if I decide in the future that DC training is not the way to go I'll always train my calfs in this manner.  I've tried everything and this beats them all.

Take it or leave it...but really, what have you got to loose?

you know why I don't post pics.  Your not going to goad me into anything.  Lets see, brief rundown of the last 2 years...my dad had a major stroke 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to be involved in his recovery, I was in the hospital for 3 days at the begining of august due to diverticulitus, I had to be on a restrictive diet for 3 weeks after where I couldn't eat half the foods I would have liked to, I was misdiagnosed with a broncial infection early in the year when I actually had pnuemonia...I had a child of mine die in January that had been born with a horrible birth defect and spent all of last year caring for him along with my wife and an infant hospas program.  now do you think I could have trained anywhere near how I would have liked?  Not even close and even when I was training I was worried my son was having siezures..or thowing up..or having to have a morphine push..or that my wife was gonna have a breakdown watching my son lay there like a vegtable...or how much his HPE was making his skull expand....you try training or dieting with that to worry about.

All this has been posted before and the story has been consistant so it can be verified.

I'm a married professional with my own home.  That is neither here nor there though.  This is the point, you're personal life should not effect your physique.  Eating is not a healthy way to manage your emotions.  If you just stop eating so damn much you will look great.  Don't worry if you miss meals or a few days in the gym, YOU WILL NOT LOSE MUSCLE.  Just try it and you will see.  One thing though, you may get smaller because of all of the lard you will shed.  I don't know why you are so affraid to try it.  Adonis can be obnoxious but he is just trying to get people to see how much easier and more effective it is to eat like a normal person.  Most people here have been misled for a long time by supplement companies and people with vested interests in the sale of supplements (Dante is a prime example).  If you stop being a sheep for a little bit and try something new you will see the light.

I say this because a year of bad luck and spotty training can set you back, but will not completely ruin your physique.

I mean why not go to the gym instead of post on here.

I only go to the gym about 3 days a week sometimes 4.  I do it for fun and to burn some calories.  I think perhaps the enjoyment for you is gone.

This man is a reflection of everything I represent.  It took me a while to realize and am glad that I did.
Steve Reeves actually had the EXACT same outlook and philosophy.  He was taken aback when he saw what everyone these day were advocating and doing,the training and diet. He was a bit disgusted with it.

if you are what you say you are then your a moron.  having a child dying before your eyes effects every aspect of your life.  Wether you want ot believe it or not.  You try waking up 6 times a night because your child is having siezures and is screaming out in pain.  You try going to the gym with that on your mind.  Now deal with that for over a year.  Before that we had to deal with the fact that we were going to have to go through a birth that our son was not supposed to survive.  deal with that stess.  Deal with a doctor telling you your son was gonna be a doorknob.  Deal with having to increase his medicine almost every week so he won't cry out in pain.  Trust me slick, how I looked was not the first thing on my mind.  I would go for weeks not working out.  I'm 5'7" and I weigh a whopping 205lbs, I think I did pretty well over the last couple of years considering half the people I know who have gone through the same thing are heavily medicated.  I hope you never have to go through that, I hope no one does but don't trivialize it, you didn't do it and you don't have the right.  It's not like I wanted this to happen...it's not like I bitched about it because I couldn't work out..I did what I had to do to keep my son comfortable and if I'm a little smaller or a little fatter because of it then so be it.

first I post from work.  Not when I'm at home for the most part.  Second I think I did a good job dispite what happened in my life.  I'm 5'7" and weigh 205lbs, I'm about 12-14% BF.  I choose not to post pics because I'm no where near where I was before this happened.  I work out 3 times a week but for the last 2 years my training was comprimised, my diet was comprimised and my mental state was comprimised.  Who knows maybe i'll post pics in the future but right now I'm dealing with a father that had a  major stroke about 2 weeks ago and can't walk, talk or use the right side of his body.  My mom lives 3 hours away and has a heart condition so someone has to help her and it's me or my brother.  I've been going to Saginaw michigan where my dad was up until last thursday 2-3 times a week, that's 4 hours round trip.  Again, my training is not first thing on my mind.

no I ate whatever i could.  didn't matter how much protien.  We "tried" to keep our life as normal as possible, that's what they advise you to do in this situation.  I followed no diet for the most part.  That was part of the problem.  If I didn't go to the gym and work I'd be crazy right now.

Ok if you are what you claim, then at 5`7 you would be 185 at 3-4 percent Bodyfat.

That is total bullshit.  You would not be near that.  That right there is good enough to go to Nationals.  That is bigger than Stan Mcquay when he was in nationals at one point.

Face it.  You are 20-50 percent bodyfat.  Why can`t you swallow that.  Its not a big deal. You can lose the fat.

had my BF checked for a class i was taking and this is what it said, it was an electronic test where you hook sensors up to your toe and your finger.  It read at 12%, I'm sure it's a little higher now.

no, not at all.  I don't have stomach problems when I eat more protien.  When I eat carbs I have stomach problems.  Again as I've stated before on numerous occasions, I only eat about 200grams of protien on a good day.  Once in awhile I've gone up to 230 but hardly ever.  almost all of my protien is from food, I only drink one whey protien shake a day-24grams of protien and it's not form true protien so don't even start with that shit.

Tore ligaments in knee, that's why legs are behind.  Calves are just genetically difficult to grow.

Thats funny. I know several guys that tore ligaments (multiple ones at the same time) and still handle 350+ on heavy squat days and have moderate thigh development. I mean, they could use more, but like a lot of people (cough, cough, YOU) they dont push themeselves on legs because its "HARD"!
