Title: this ''sport'' is a joke
Post by: disco_stu on October 01, 2006, 01:25:03 PM
for the life of me i can only see how jay beat Ronnie.

i cant see how Jay beat everyone else.

there's a cool link to a site where you can put each competitor next to each other through the compulsories.

look at that site and pretend you dont know about anyone.

once again dex is up there.....even ronnie rockel. the ugly slabs of meat look like crap next to them.

BB judging was to find the most pleasing physique, with merit given for the other stuff.

not the other stuff winning and merit given for having some semblence of balance.

not one of the so called top guys are symmetrical by any stretch of the imagination.

translation= you're a small guy who has been training for years and haven't even broken the 225lb. bench press or 160lbs. bodyweight yet and you identify with the "symmetrical" guys.

What's funny is that Zane was probably a lot stronger than you at a much lower bodyweight, hahahahahahaha, OWNED!

Mighty serious assumption there, brianaX.  I can't believe a fatty like you is defending this penis puffer....oh wait, you are just trying to get him in bed for you and your dad.

you are an idiot.

i dont train at all these days...just follow the sport.

but at 6'1'', 260+ and 20 in arms i dont think i was small...neither did my buddies.

what i did, and still do, is appreciate the basic tenets of a lifestyle that rewards applied effort.

i recognised i wasnt going to do this for a living and eventually other things took over....like kids and work.

The BB officianados are rewarding the wrong aspects of the game IMO.

IMO Haney deserved his O, Samir did, Arnold did over Sergio, Yates did at first-then levrone shoulda taken it at least a couple of times. Zane deserved his...maybe not 3, but certainly 2. arnold didnt deserve the '80 O. Columbu didnt deserve any of his, Labrada had yates and levrone beat, haney too. Dex Jackson has been the best BB for the last couple of years.

the front double bicep shot always sorts them out.

hey sarcasm...thats alot of posts you got there...do you work?...have friends?....not counting ones here at GB.

While I don't share all of your opinions and feel Jay was the best OVERALL body on stage, I did enjoy your post.
Overall, the sport is doing better with a show that now appears to be judged in a more objective manner and does not have an automatic winner every year. A better quality event, more depth of quality physiques is what bodybuilding needed. Jay makes a great Mr O.
The sport has turned a corner and despite Ronnies loss here, it would be awesome to see him go for a comeback , win or lose for  2007 as his last , all or none effort to reclaim his title and go out on top.
Regardless of what he does , Ronnie will go down as one of the all time great champs in bodybuilding.
On to a new era and new shows.

im glad some people actually can objectively watch BB.

now, as for my achievements, well photos of myself werent high on the agenda and i trained in a t-shirt at all times.

my gym had a mirror in front of the squat rack, and we moved the shoulder press in front of it when we did that.

the guy i trained with was a member of a bike gang and we were pretty much on a par. He had about a dozen other mates who were as big, if not bigger...so my achievements didnt strike as anything special.

and we're talking just a few gyms in a city of 1.5million. I was nothing special on the scene. good for chicks, doorman work, football, wellbeing and wowing your fat mates...like the other guy said in here...i am 6'1''.

actually weighed 119kg at 12% at one stage....i had another mate who weighed 85kg, had a taper like you wouldnt believe and couldnt touch the weights we used....but he had us all beat as far as BB goes. that's my point.

being in synch with and in control of your body
knowing what exercise work and how/when/why to do do them
how to manipulate your diet correctly to produce a desired result
knowing how to pose correctly, tan, present your body to it's advantage

if there is no skill in it how come you suck at it so badly?

hope this helps

pleasing physique?  that's where you are wrong.

non one wants to see that.  we want the freaks.

if you want to see 'pleasing physiques' that go read a playgirl or some natural bbing mag.

i love it when a bunch of guys all cry BS when you tell them you and 2 of your mates had 20 inch arms.

like 20 inches is some unreal barrier.

maybe at 5'5'' or 5'2''. but its real territory when you are 5'10''+.

so is 120kg+.

that's over 260lb btw.

not at all unrealistic and also not exactly photomaterial if you are coverded in tats and dont shave.

so gimme a f'kn break you dildos and stop whining i was using the statements to make a point.

if 20inches is fairyland for you then i really dont give a toss.

it took 6 freakn years to get em, even at my height...and i wasnt bangn the sauce either.

other mates of mine got em in 2 years...

And how do I "suck" so bad at it? I don't compete you noob... ::)!

well i would suggest that if you don't compete then how the fuck do you know whether it takes skill or not?

just because you have no skill at bodybuilding doesn't mean nobody else has.

hope this helps.
