Read this on mma weekly and couldn't quit laughing at how fucking stupid Dana White is.... Dana we all know Pride would own your company...

Pride USA producer Jerry Millen was recently a guest on Scott Ferrall's radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio, and an explosive verbal confrontation ensued when UFC president Dana White called into the show during Millen's interview.
The vast majority of the disagreements between White and Millen were focused on the now-cancelled fight between the UFC's Chuck Liddell and Pride's Wanderlei Silva.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the situation, the Liddell-Silva fight was announced by White during the UFC 61 event on July 8th, but no actual contracts were signed at the time. Negotiations between the UFC and Pride broke down shortly thereafter, despite the fact that by all accounts both Liddell and Silva want the fight to happen.
Also, while the UFC and Pride have both subsequently made conflicting statements on the matter, MMAWeekly was told by sources in mid-August (and reported in the Rumors section) that the Liddell-Silva fight was already off at that time. This was not only before Silva fought Mirko Cro Cop, but it was also before Liddell fought Renato "Babalu" Sobral.
Nevertheless, both sides stuck to their guns during the interview, and the result was a lot of contentious back-and-forth exchanges.
There has been some misinformation about what was and wasn't said during the interview, so we hope to clear up any misconceptions by using actual quotes based on the actual audio.
During the interview, White said, "I've been trying to do Wanderlei [Silva] vs. Chuck [Liddell] for five years... not to mention the fact, didn't Wanderlei just get executed? ... Nobody buys their [Pride] pay-per-views in the United States, so I'll let everyone know what happened. Wanderlei Silva got beat to death for the first two rounds, then got his head kicked to another planet."
Millen responded by saying, "First two rounds? Dana, did you watch the fight? The fight didn’t go past the first round. Did one of your assistants type up a memo for you?"
White responded by saying, "I was the one guy that watched it on the Internet over here in the United States."
Millen later said, "Put your guys up. If you have such a great stable, put them up... make it [Liddell vs. Silva] happen. What's the hold up?" White responded to Millen's question by saying, "Silva just got knocked dead in the first round."
On the same subject, White later said, "I’ve been willing to do it for the last five years, they haven’t been. Now Wanderlei gets executed almost into a coma, and now they want to make the fight."
Millen said later in the interview, "Let me ask you this. You announced on your pay-per-view that if Chuck beats Babalu and Wanderlei is able to fight, the fight’s going to happen. What happened between the time you made the announcement on the pay-per-view till now? Besides going, 'Oh, he got executed,' what in the negotiations process broke down to make this fight not happen?"
In response to Millen's question, White posed a question of his own, asking if Millen is aware of the problems that Pride is having in Japan (losing the Fuji TV deal, etc). Millen replied, "I'm just asking you why this fight is not happening," at which point White said, "This is exactly why it's not happening, because you [Pride] are having a lot of problems."
At that point, Millen said, "You’re saying it’s not going to happen because you don’t want it to happen, correct?" Both sides were very agitated, and White's response was, "You guys say you’re going to do something and you never f---ing do it."
When the host of the show later asked if White was ready to restart negotiations with Pride, White said, "I’m sick of them, but if they want to give us Wanderlei Silva to fight in the UFC, I’m in."
At one point in the interview, White questioned how much the Pride USA producer knew about the negotiations and said to Millen, "You don't know s---" at which point Millen shot the same inflammatory statement back at White.
When Millen asked White, "Why wouldn’t you give us Tim Sylvia?" White responded by saying "because he [Sylvia] is fighting on November 18th." Millen then asked, "Why won't you throw him in a Pride fight?" to which White responded, "Why the f--- would I throw him in a Pride fight, you retard, when he's going to fight in my fight?"
White later said, "You guys don’t do any pay-per-view buys here in America and you got kicked off television in Japan. Of course you’re going to come over here and want my fighters in your show. You guys suck, so of course you need them."
Later in the interview, Millen invited White to attend Pride's debut show in the United States, and White accepted the invitation.
Millen said, "Dana, listen. October 21st, I have a pair of ringside Pride tickets for you so that you can see what a real MMA event is like." White's response: "I'll be there."

once pride hits America and people actually hear about it and watch it. (People=UFC fans.) Dana might not have that great of a company left.. Better fighters = Better fights. And what would you rather pay for Me i would want to get my money worth which UFC hasn't been doing late. IMO...... Dana is safe for now but how long will it last.. and with rumors of chuck maybe wanting to fight somewhere else before he is past his prime is quite understandable, then who would be UFC's Front man...TITO????? Tim Sylvia????? Andre???? Matt Hughes????? none of these names compare to Fedor, Randleman, Coleman, Wanderlei(sp.), or the rest of pride... Whats wrong with making the UFC mainstream, you probably feel threatened that the public has a chance to enjoy the sport we all do. What is it, you sound like a complete rambling moron.
Everyone who is Pride vs UFC are just clowns, they are both different organisations, each has their merits. When will this Pride vs UFC bullshit ever end. As for who has the better fighters, technically we will never know until they fight so keep on speculating.
Dana White has been nothing but a good thing for MMA, maybe you haters are jealous of the big bucks he makes, while you suffer to pay your bills. Stop hating and start appreciating all he has done for the sport.

As much as I love th UFC..Pride is so far above it. The production values are better..the showmanship...the cards. They pay more and the fighters are much better known then any UFC fighter is here in the States. Dana needs to calm down and look at whats best for the future of MMA and his long term profits. Feeding Chuck can after can only pisses off the real fans. All you guys do is bitch about the UFC cards and PPV prices and unfortunatly ur all right. We all wand to see a Wand/Liddell fight or who ever else Pride can put up. The first time CRO COP blows some dudes head off with a high kick..Pride will be mainstream in America. Dana should forsee all this and jump in an get his cut.

Both organizations have great fighters...Fedor is no doubt the best Hvwt in the World. Matt Hughes is the best wlt weight. The others are a toss up. TUF is a little cheesey but I think its great because it is growing fighters (on the show and in the gyms). My only question about Fedor is how he can not finish Sobral? Sobral goes the distance with Fedor yet CL destroys him twice.

whats wrong with making it more mainstream? I've gotten into the sport within the last year and it was because of a UFC PPV. I try to follow pride and UFC, and i don't think i know everything about the sport, i just enjoy watching it...so where's the problem? everyone is a "newb" at some point, why does it make me an asshole?

That fight was in Rings organization. I noticed that Fedor did not hit Babalu in the head when he had him down. Perhaps he could not because of the different rules?

UFC is MUCH more mainstream than Pride, so people love to have something "their own," which the UFC isn't anymore (it's everyone's), so they latch on to Pride.
People can't do shit on their own, so they have to feel part of something.

If Pride is smart, they will tweak their fights to match the momentum the UFC has built with the newbie fans via TUF. They need to get their rules to mimic or match the UFC so there will be continuity with crossover. Elbows on the ground is a big thing, the ring versus the cage as well. There isn't any doubt that Pride has the better fighters, either the UFC must step up and pay some of the better free agents the money required, or Pride will definitely do damage. Likewise with Pride, hopefully they got the $ to make a run at the UFC. Particuarly with the success of UFC PPVs. The UFC is definitely in the driver's seat as far as revenue and fan base (US).

mainstream is not cool, normally when somehting goes mainstream it loses its edge

Tito is one of the most calculated, tactical fighters in the game. When he beat Wandy, he won by takedown, a few elbows, repeated over and over again. Wandy wasn't in any trouble to be KOed, but Tito did win according to the rules. Tito usually game plans well, he has incredible cardio, great strength, balance with decent striking and good takedowns. Tito knows what he is, and fights accordingly. Someone like Fedor is dangerous because he can finish you a number of ways. KO, TKO, sub etc.... The UFC is definitely outclassed by Pride as far as fighters are concerned. Shogun, Arona, Wandy, hell even Yoshida would give the LHWs in the UFC fits. Vera is the only up and comer who impresses me. There is no competition for Chack in the LHWs in the UFC. He will beat Tito by fence grab, eye poke, then overhand right.

Stevenson is a vet, who has been in the game a long time. I loved his war with the Westside strangler in KOTC. But he definitely isn't as well rounded as some of the fighters in Bushido. As is most of the TUF alum, they are usually one or two dimensional, and haven't had the opportunity, seasoning, training as some of the better Bushido/Pride or even UFC fighters. Nick Diaz is much better than any TUF alum, and most people don't know him. Likewise Dave Terrell, Evan Tanner, Murillo Bustamante....... Guys who have been around for a long time, seasoned under the big lights, lots of fights, and out of great camps.

ufc makes little to no effort to provide skillfully entertaining matches to their audieance, most bouts are lay and prays or lopsided knockouts .... pride does have some freakshow matches themselvs, but other than that they do a much better job encouraging action in their fights with a card system ... that shit wouldnt fly in the states because they are more concerned with fiarness than bushido/entertainment value (its the opposite in japan)
