Benny Uriquedez

From what I saw and heard Benny was a bad muther.  He won numerous world championships in multiple weight classes.  In his prime he was pretty good.  A huge legend in Japan.  He has the neatest poster in his office where he has a guy weighing about 230 over his head and slamming to the ground.  His gym "The Jet Center" was ahead of its time.  It's neat how he bought it too.

What do you guys think

i love Benny, his films were brilliant. Wheels on Meals was one of his best in regards to fighting sequences with Jackie Chan, Samo Hung and Yeun Biao. I saw a few of his fights, it doesnt surprise me he was undefeated as he was dominant. Way ahead of his time in regards to ability, a bit like Pete "Sugerfoot" Williams

Man you guys keep bringing names I forgot about.  I mentioned Sugarfoot somewhere else because I forgot his name.  Pete was so nice.  He and Benny came to Santa Monica High when I was doing a thing there.  Very nice guy.

The Jet wasn't undefeated.  He fought a thai champion in Thailand and got KTFO.  He was ahead of his time, as was the Jet Center.  Lots of good fighters came out of there, Blinky was a tough mutha as well.

His wife too was a world champion.  His last fight was very sad.  We all thought he sould have never taken it.  He was so slow and it was sad.  He is a very good guy.

Blinky Rodrigues, his brother in law was prolly a better trainer than Benny, and a champion as well.

Yes Blinky was good and a very super guy.  I remember when his son got shot and killed.  Very sad.
