Anyone from the Venice area wanna do the Milos challenge?
« on: January 11, 2007, 05:45:43 AM »
So anyone wanna go down to Milo's gym with me for the challenge?  I figure a few of us can get Milos to take us through a brutal workout and report back here.  I guess we can stop for some cheesesticks at that chicks restaurant too.  ;D

I'm in Europe so I can't come, but I hope someone else will. Bring a camera! The Squadfather-thing won't happen so...

really? all the people on this board that go to Venice Gold's or the World's in Marina del Rey and no one wants to take a road trip for the Milos challenge? Not to mention everyone in between Vince and Fullerton.  If you're worried about not being able to drive after having your legs destroyed I'll drive.

No homo doesn't mean I don't want to train with gay people, it just means this isn't a personal ad.

I have a membership at both Gold's Venice and at Milos's Koloseum Gym in Fullerton, so why not? I will go thru whatever nonsense Milo's can throw at me. To be honest though I am somewhat new around here, and I dont know what the challenge is exactly. Doesnt really matter though....

if my schedule allows, I'll go.   even though the 'no homo' comment cannot come across as anything but bigotted.

This outta be good. A friend of mine does legs with Milo's from time to time and I can tell you that I doubt any of you would last thru an entire leg routine.

true..but thing is you have to get conditioned for the intensity...its something you build up gradually (altho i think milos takes it too far)

Not just the intensity, but also the cardiovascular demands.

def thats what i mean...you gotta be able to get oxygen to the muscles ..you can have the strength but lactic acid build up and lack of oxygen will act as a bottleneck

Yeah, this is something that you need to get used to. It's just funny how a lot of guys on here thing that it's a pussy way of training. I would love to see Milos film this. I think it's funny to see people throw up.  ;D Some people can never get used to it as it also takes a certain amount of mental toughness to do this and most won't ever attain this.

it does but im against the overuse of giant set and drop sets etc..sure you have to have some stamina and cardiovascular fitness..but it shouldnt be tour de france...
also puking is being macho and should be avoided
