A "Promoters" union might not be a bad idea.
Would keep sanction fees equal (Didn't Mike have to pay 6 months in advance for the Charlotte Pro, but Winston didn't have the $ just 30 days out?)
They could all agree to require an 8 week committment from BBers - and if the guys dropped, they'd still have to be involved in some aspect (MC, hand out trophies, etc) or face a larger sanction from the entire group (You can't compete in any show til you pay fine).
Would definitely help to share resources. Why not have ONE lawyer for all 12 shows, instead of 12 promoters trying to get contract help, while doing everything else? Why not share one very nice audio setup, instead of trying to plug a laptop into the PA system at 12 diff shows with 12 diff rsults.
Just a thought. If you have a group of guys all doing the same thing, why not take advantage and share resources and secure a stronger negotiation position as well?
