Actually your question was clear.

Personally i like and think it more effective to do daily ab work. Overtraining: not in my opinion; like forearms and calves this area's used to a lot of work every day and isn't phased by it. Of course some do great with less than daily work, but i think you have to factor in and can adjust all the variables in the equation up or down, such as degree and frequency of exercise combined with diet. Just my experience that it's even more effective done more often, both in terms of tightening and expending calories, just like running or cardio.

Just my opinion, from doing.

Agreed 100%

Train harder or do more cardio or change diet = abs

Abs should be trained like any other muscle group. You do not have to have marathon workouts or even daily sessions for impressive looking ab's. Two or three times a week, with 3 sets or 8 to 15 reps. Abs are a very strong, short ranged muscle group, so be encouraged to add weight to any exercise you do for them. If your a lifter you will understand the importance of strong abs. Abs are most impressive when the ridges of pure muscle are developed and show clearly. And as suggested, if you tend to have a layer of fat covering those abs, than adjustments to the diet may be  a good choice. Even with cardio a good selection, when eating, can be key to impressive abs. Good Luck.

I think doing the plank and holding this for 1-2 minutes and just doing cleans are the best ways I've found to train abs since they work the whole core. I also think abs 3x week is plenty!
