What was Arnold thinking?

During the Fitshow interview that Chick did with Arnold, Arnold said that he thought the women should have the same prize money as the men.

What is the basis for this equality?

Granted, men's bodybuilding isn't exactly experiencing a boom, but women's bodybuilding has fallen entirely off the map. Most bodybuilding FANS couldn't name the current Ms. O.

Could it be that Arnold is just being PC, or is he completely out of touch?

  he was trying to get some pussy from one of the female competitors so he was using trickery to make her think he actually cared about her career.

arnold definitly wasn;t known for  treating women well during his biodybuilding days  i think he is trying to save face

on the othe rhand arnold i hope you were tlaking about the figure and fitness girls and not the female bodybuilding about 80% of those things are not women

If I remember the interview correctly, he was talking about Women's Bodybuilding. I don't remember him even mentioning figure or fitness.

I didn't even know there was women's bodybuilding at the ASC.

You can't compare female bodybuilders to their tennis counterparts.

Female tennis players draw. They have big fan bases, and sell tons of merch.

Of course hes being PC...Arnold tried to go into the state and right some wrongs (does anyone really think a teacher should have tenure after only two or three years?  Should unions spend members money without their consent?), and basically did what everyone was thinking, and got crucified by the special interests.....of course, he'll toe  the PC line, as any further political growth will entail conservative stances.

Damn straight. Almost all are good looking, have smoking bodies, and you actually can watch some good tennis being played. With the men, you get -what?- a sonic serve and maybe a return!?
