French Pedicures

What do people think about French Pedicures?  Are they acrylics put on the toes, or are they growing out their toenails?

I noticed a few women with them in some of the recent contests.  I am not sure if I like the look or not

I think they just paint the tips of the toe nails white.

But I think the "French" manicure thingy is the painting of the underneath of the nail, no?

Why anyone wouldn't cut their toenails short is completely beyond me.  My trainers (and my boots) would be uncomfortable if I didn't.

Guess they have nothing better to do and perhaps they just wear flipflops.

the ones I have seen the toenails are longer than "normal' definitely over the tip of the toe.   Debbie Bramwell for one had them in her recent show.

If the tips weren't white they would look unkempt, but I still kind of feel that they look that way even with the French Pedicure.

I think growing them out a bit is an option.  A small free edge is ok, but anything longer than a hair is gross, IMO.

I have a French Pedicure right now.  I like it (did it myself - it's just white polish on the tips w/a blush (clear pink) polish over that and the rest of the nail).  My toenails are short though...I don't care for the look of long toenails.

Arcylics for toes are rare, but around, really designed for some women who have something 'wrong' with their toenails. French pedicures, I'm not a big fan of, but they are huge right now the most popular thing for feet at present.

So they are growing them out that long?   I would think it would be hard to train with your toenails that far over your toe?  They would hit in your sneakers?
