I have an upconverting and a blu ray player

upconverting does not come close to comparing, not only with visuals, but audio as well

That shouldn't even be an issue, ps3 is terrible.  They dont have any good exclusive titles, the graphic rendering is good, but not great...360 has graw 2, rainbow six vegas, gears of war, bioshock, mass effect, call of duty 4, halo3, like I said, ps3 is a non issue...

I didn't mean it as an alternative that's comparable in quality. I meant more until the price drops to a level where it's more worth it

360 for sure, Gears of War was a nutter game and xbox live is worth it just for all the game demos and new content you can download etc 8).

The 360 is pretty cool, but not the massive jump from the ordinary xbox i was expecting.

Xbox live is good, although be prepared for lots cheating and meltdown prone morons.
