NO, i don't think Hughes deserves a title shot....and for the point that he should top GSP who REALLY deserves the shot. With your logic, Liddell deserves a title shot too.... 
I"m all for the #1 contender getting the shot.
The fact is, Liddell did deserve a rematch, in boxing the ex-champ gets first title defense, should be that way in the UFC, was saying Hughes should have fought GSP before the midget did, the ex-champ should get a rematch, why after being the top, after a loss he has to fight his way back
