Please explain to me how the clock works on your forum?
« on: January 06, 2008, 07:08:48 AM »
It's 7:07am there.  And it's 3 something pm in London England...  Where are you?

My clock can't be correct.  I'm 5 hours ahead of NY, 8 hours ahead of LA.  No?

What is Getbig time?  Is it Pacific time?

Go to Profile>Modify Profile>Look and Layout Preferences> Time Offset,

and change the number. For me (in The Netherlands) it's 9.

Hope this helps.   :)

Yes Linda. It appears the default time for GetBig is set to Pacific Time.
Yes, Greenwich Time is usually 8 hrs ahead of LA.

Not that I care but does it really matter what time it is and where?  :-Check your wrist watch.

I just wondered.

...It was like:  I thought I looked sad when I posted on your happy new year thread at 7am when it was in fact something like 3pm when I got home.  Just wanted to clarify that...

Also I've wondered about the post counter.  (see on the left there <<<

I got to 3,000 maybe 3-6 months ago & then got stuck around there.  It's not like I care or anything, I just find it odd.

I post most nights (I'm extremely garrulous and totally verbose and opinionated and I type 90wpm and you make me laugh) and yet it keeps clicking back to 3,000...

Maybe Laura Lee with her "I know where you live and what your ISP is" software will know?

when you log in all the post times show whatever you have your profile set for.

When you aren't logged in they all show PCT.

And if you live in PCT then they will show that time all the time, on or off (if you have your profile set to PCT of course)

I don't even know how to do an avatar.  I've tried and I've tried.  It's okay I have a mac and it doesn't get along with your windows...

I also have another question about how come >>>oh crikey I've forgotten.  It was really bugging me earlier.

Oh yeah, I remembered:  hang on a sec, I'm coming back...

btw, I've never set any pcq's or any pc's.  It asked me once when I logged on and I answered back my email and my location.   I'm not a computer boff.  I'm just a mad woman alone with an old iMac which still works (kind of

& sometimes I read your Ron board and your x board.  At least I am aware that there are other people who cannot understand why people are so very into computers and are able to hijack other peoples.

I'm extremely grateful to my next door neighbour who is a musician and has set up my isp which cannot be broken into.  I'm learning.
