Good for deadlifts but usually for the most part,as long as you`re training consistantly, shoes don`t really matter much!

im with wes but i will say that on upper body days i just wear my air nike not even tied or whatever but on my leg days i wear my asics and tie them tight it feels more comfortable on things like leg press and squats and especially calf raises....but ive also worked out in combat boots a majority of times so i guess it really doenst matter..idk

I wear my banana hammocks only on my SLDL days as to give everyone behind me a nice shot of the fruit bowl.

how 'bout the puffy socks, --- protect ur shins and fill out shoes if theyre a little big

head bands, wrist bands, --- im guessing u dont sweat much in the gym, if u go at all

fingerless gloves, spandex shorts, --- spandex shorts shows u exactly how big ur quads are and just like those skins pants, they prevent ur shorts getting caught on something or riding up ur ass. fingerless gloves gives better grip through the fingers, as regular gloves can be slippery, especially when chinning

fake-bake tan, --- i see more women with fake tans than i do men.

headphones, --- people need motivation to train. not everyone has the gym mentality

shaved legs, --- a guy cant shave his legs now? this is the 21st century and ur on a bbing & fitness board, where the (general) aim is to build big muscles and show them off.

haha..noticed you failed to mention the homemade spaghetti-strap tank..anyway, I think it all looks ridiculous and I would never dress or accessorize like this..I guess it's just diff. personalities..I don't have much to do with folks who  try to "show-off" like this..most, I would assume, are totally insecure..therefore, I almost pity the poor fellas.. ;)

Just curious...are they the old classic "Dan Gable" shoes?  I wrestled about a hundred years ago and your post brought back some memories.
