So Lost starts tomorrow

But we only get 8 episodes because of the strike. Anyone who knows how slowly the story unwinds knows that we aren't going to learn a whole lot in 8 episodes. Personally I think it is the greatest series ever made, but 8 episodes is a tease imo. Also, I know that the Lost DVDs are huge sellers, what do you guys think they are going to do with this season? Sell 8 episodes And what about next season? Will we get 40 episodes to make up for the 16 we didn't get this season? They are only doing 3 more seasons and it's done. I really hope we don't just lose these 16 episodes This is the first time the strike is really affecting me, I enjoy a few scripted shows and it is unfortunate that some other series ended early this season, but nothing that I didn't forget about the next day. Lost is different though, I have been waiting for 8 some odd months for this.

Buy or rent the DVDs. I have heard from people that watch them all in a row that its the only way to watch it. It is not like a self contained show at all that wraps up nicely at the end of each episode, so it's cool to have the memories of the past episodes in your mind fresh when you are watching them. It's crazy how they tie shit together on there. Plus, like I said it unwraps very slowly and sometimes you get pissed you have to wait a whole week to see what happens. I guarantee if you watch it, you will love it though.

It starts of great, no, superb. Then it just starts to drag like fuck. I couldn't even make it through to the end of the first series it got that bad. Shame really, as it started with so much promise.

Me too until I saw this thread yesterday;  I decided to rent some episodes last night, starting at the beginning.  Now I'm hooked and am going to go rent a bunch more after work today 

I'm loving it after only about three episodes, I can't believe I never watched it until now.

They ran last years finally with a scroll explaining some of the stuff that has happened. I missed all of last season but I think I know enough to roll with whats going on. Jerico starts next month..thats even better. Season one is alreeady on DVD and the Sci-FI channel is going to start airing reruns.
