late morning so one meal, then 4 for the rest of the day, great way to do it because you train early then have all those meals to repair.

what does it matter?  as long as you have amino's in the blood stream and glycogen in the muscle, you are good.

I'm usually in the gym by 4pm and by then I've already had four meals.

My preworkout meal is currently a banana, apple, homemade flapjack, protein shake and a very strong cup of sweet coffee. I make sure I've eaten all that about half an hour before training - sets me up quite nicely.

depends... anywhere between 1 to 3 or even 4. I prefer to train after breakfast but it's not always possible.

Due to my work schedule I work out late at night so I usually put in 5-6 meals before I work out.  I keep the calories down and focus on protein.  Then my post work out meal is the biggest of the day, usually 1800-2000 cals.

One, I've worked out morning, afternoon and night and mornings are the best IMO.

I either workout at around noon or 1, or 5-6pm. So either way, at least 3-4 meals before training. I hate training in the (early) morning.
No doubt about it...

i think maybe i like it too much, actually...i tend to catch myself letting workouts run to the 2 hour mark when i go first thing in the morning.

How many meals do you eat before you train??

Depends on when I train. If it's in the morning I'll usually have something light (i.e. yogurt & maybe a shake) about ninty minutes before training. If I train in the afternoon or afterwork I've usually had a couple meals & snacks already.

It's just my preference but I wait about 90-120 minutes after eating to train.

Really?
If i were to train at noon, i would have a meal at 11.30. Ive never felt sick or anything during training even though i train pretty soon after eating. Still, everyones different.
No doubt about it...

I hate trainnig in the morning - no matter how early I get up, or how many good energy calories I take in, or how long I leave it to have the food settle, I still have a crap, low-in-energy workout. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll always be an evening trainer.

Lately I wake up at about 9 - 9.30, have breakfast, then start training at about 11.30.  But if I've gotta do shit during the day I'll train at about 6, after 4-5 meals.

I´m training on 2 different times (11:30 AM, 4 PM), because i`m working shift

So, before the 11:30 AM Training i have 2 meals before, and 4 before the 4 PM

Last meal before Training is about 2 hours before, because 20-30 Minutes prior to training i take my pre-workout supps. If i take the last meal closer to training it interacts to much with the pre-workout Supps.

I drink a protein shake before the gym,,and also take some amino acids and glutimine before working out in the am,,that way as i workout,,they all kick in and as i am working out my muscles get even bigger.
